@TimesRadio@ToniaAntoniazzi@StigAbell If my partner ruins my life and I decide to hire a hitman to assassinate them, I should not be criminalised. I need help and support. Prosecute the hitman, sure. But outlawing my actions would be a needless criminalisation of someone who’s just a poor, fragile victim. 🤡

@talkChristianly The Archbishop of York won’t join Welby and resign because of the ‘damage’ it would do to the church. But would any parish anywhere really be worse off? Tbh if ALL the bishops were raptured today, it’s hard to see any church anywhere catapulted into crisis or even missing them.

Here's a paywall-free version of the Telegraph coverage.
I'm still struggling to understand why a female bishop who made a complaint was sent on 'study leave' for 510 days, while the male bishop in question remained in post. In any other walk of life...

I don’t think I have ever dealt with a more disorganised and disconnected organisation than the DVLA @DVLAgovuk. It is absolutely atrocious in every way - even when they’re trying to take your money.
@LlandaflambJohn Kaldor equated Putin’s warmongering to millions of women and men peacefully voting to leave the EU. That why Davis was taken aback and tried to nuance her. It was an awful comment. And the link to masculinity in general is equally reprehensible and irresponsible.
@TestingTime17@KaldorM I felt Evan Davis gave it a shot - he very politely pushed back, but was perhaps a bit shocked to hear such utter rubbish being spouted live on his show. Harmful, divisive, lazy, and unkind words from an academic who should know better.
@BillBJ6 @Helen121 Evan Davis was right to push for some nuance and accuracy. It was a crying shame that none was forthcoming. Her words were irresponsible, divisive, and lazy.
@Helen121 Have to disagree. I was aghast at the comparison of people - women and men - who peacefully and democratically voted to leave the EU with Putin’s warmongering. Totally irresponsible and unkind.
Would be interested to hear the likes of @DouglasKMurray@DanielJHannan and co on the interview on Today this evening. Have to give credit to @EvanHD who politely pushed for some nuance. None was forthcoming!
Mary Kaldor on @BBCRadio4@BBCNews just now comparing Putin to Trump, Brexit voters, and ‘toxic’ masculinity. Really?! Seriously, seriously unhelpful, unfair, and cynical. Complaint to BBC incoming.
Please @LSEnews have a word with Ms Kaldor. Unacceptable. Not asking for a pile on or big trouble - just clarity that this sort of politicised insult flinging at such a troubling time is not what your employees should be doing.
@antje_wiener @LSEnews@bbcr4 I thought it was deeply UNhelpful and lazy. Comparing Putin’s warmongering with people who peacefully and democratically votes to leave the EU? And men? Harmful and divisive rhetoric.
@MandaBrookman@BBCRadio4@EvanHD@lse_london Are you kidding? It was lazy, offensive, and utterly inappropriate. Comparing a murder is dictator to people who peacefully, democratically voted to leave the EU? And to masculinity? It’s harmful and divisive nonsense.
@WJCork @FrostyPastor No, it would be Marcionism if you said that the God of Abraham, Moses, David, and the OT were someone other than the triune God. And that Jews and Muslims could worship that god. And didn’t feel the need to tell them about Jesus. That would also probably be antisemitic.
The amendment that @DianaJohnsonMP is attempting - allowing abortion up to birth for ANY REASON - is simply demonic. Even the most thoroughly persuaded pro-choice people among us must at least CONSIDER the possibility that there is a human life in question here.
