@AYAB_DRR A3a: According to a study by UNESCO, Sub Saharan Africa has the highest rate of education exclusion globally. So with the coming of this pandemic we want to find out to what extent did it affected young people's education.

@AYAB_DRR A1: YAR stands for Youth as Researchers. This is an initiative that was created by @UNESCO. The program trains youth and adults to create and carry out youth driven social justice research projects to enable and empower them to conduct their own researches.

@Al_Francioli@AYAB_DRR Key point: investing in initiatives that align with SFDRR is very crucial as those initiative can always support the country in their effort towards achieving the SFDRR @nema@GeohazardMaps@officialdgnema
There you have it!
We thank you @Al_Francioli for taking us through the Sendai Framework, its global targets and how much Africa has achieved in meeting them as well as the hurdles it still faces.
We cannot wait to have you again on #SafeSaturdays, Alberto.
Thanks too @tyhwoh5
@AYAB_DRR@UNDRR_Africa 7.4Engage with youth groups such as the AYAB DRR, to discuss these issues, formulate strategies to raise awareness and engage with public and decision-makers to advocate for the implementation of the SFDRR and achievement of its goals #SafeSaturdays
@AYAB_DRR@UNDRR_Africa 7.3 Engage with your local government officials, public service providers, business, NGOs, leaders and other stakeholders to raise awareness on these issues and attempt to work together to find solutions to them #SafeSaturdays
@AYAB_DRR@UNDRR_Africa 7.1 Another great question, As Youth make up 60% of the continent’s population, we believe it is imperative that Youth become more aware of the SFDRR, and become active participants in its implementation #SafeSaturdays
@Al_Francioli@AYAB_DRR Some of the times, the local communities members doesn’t have access to the early warning information as a result they are much more impacted by the hazard when it’s finally shows up.
