@RyansBurner2@SO_STUNNA Nah, the offense was absolutely terrible in that Clemson game outside of Bo Scarbrough. If it wasn’t for an all-time defense, Alabama gets blown out.
15 of 17 offensive drives went for 5 plays or less.
7 drives went three-and-out.
@JoshPateCFB Alabama’s offense* made these boys play 99 snaps.

Hard to play 4 quarters of elite defense when you’re on the field for that many plays. They’d held Clemson to 14 points and 273 yards through 3Q.
“Everybody would just remember me as the guy who took all this money and went to Miami or Tennessee for his last year. But I was a captain. I put my hand and footprints in the cement at Denny Chimes. I would have lost everything that I built at Alabama.” — Ty Simpson
@DrewALine33@jontweetssports@Vern_Funquist Texas needed OT to beat juggernauts Kentucky and Mississippi State, lost to 4-8 Florida, and got dominated by OSU and UGA in a year they were supposed to be the favorite to win the Natty.
Maybe you should sit this one out.
@papameaggs@FjordFjairlane@bbbbready@DylanEveryday The “closest first round game”? Let’s be serious lol. Those that watched the game know it was an absolute blowout, as it was 27-3 until 1:27 left in 4th quarter. 50% of their yards also came in the last 2 drives of the game, in garbage time.
@FjordFjairlane@bbbbready@DylanEveryday That team was absolutely not a top 12 team in college football. They had a blowout loss in which they had 6 yards of offense against OSU outside of their first and last (garbage time) drive of the game. Kirk was 100% right with this take.
@SCfactsonly@SSN_Alabama That was nowhere near as bad. Alabama moved the ball up and down the field all game, and actually outgained Clemson until the last drive of the game. Just couldn’t score in the red zone because of Mike Locksley’s incompetent play-calling.
@DreCorleone__@joshclackler They’ve always mattered, look at the teams to win a national championship over the last 10+ years. What Cignetti is doing is a huge outlier.
