@AndrewPDoak What’s bad about his situation is that he’s a QB. If they were to ignore it and let everyone do it what is to stop a QB throwing a game or point shaving for a big payday?
This is one of the only performances that gave me chills. AU soaked the field hoping to slow him down. Saban wanted to pull him, Henry wouldn’t allow it.
Saban after the game talking about Henry “What a spirit”
@SlimRaider@EMAWCaleb@CodyC64@CharlieBakerMA In order for you to sue someone for defamation there has to be some sort of measurable harm done. You can’t just say I don’t like what you said about me, I’m going to sue.
@HornSports@Vern_Funquist Consequences of Sorsby’s actions are bad for his mental health.
The judge just basically said that if anything you do wrong is bad for your mental health we shouldn’t apply the consequences
If I were a team on Texas Tech schedule from another state. I’d pay a judge to say that Sorsby can’t play in this state or district. A judge in 1 state can’t enforce rules in another, especially a retired Lubbock district judge
@GeauxHawks402@RossDellenger He probably paid that judge off but it shouldn’t be upheld anywhere but the district in which that judge resides. How can a district judge in Texas say a player has the right to play in Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama or any other place but Lubbock?
@MoveTheSticks He’s just a district judge in Lubbock county. There’s no way this is enforceable in another state or even district for that matter. If you look it up it says the judge is retired.
@On3@adamgorney How can a district judge in the state of Texas say he can play in any other state or any district but Lubbock for that matter? A district judge can’t put out a ruling that other states have to adhere to. A retired one at that
@PeteThamel I’m confused, how does a retired judge rule on a case? Ken Curry of the 99th district court is the one who ruled. His lawyer argued that his gambling addiction which he can’t help should be considered.
“I can’t help but to bet money when I think I have insider info” lol
NEWS: A judge in district court in Lubbock County, Texas, has granted the injunction requested by Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby. He’s set to be eligible for the 2026 season.
