Given the United Arab Emirates-armed Rapid Support Forces' history of genocide, its mounting attacks against Sudan's El Obeid have prompted the UN and other agencies to warn of the risk of more mass atrocities. https://t.co/gbbm9XhIV3
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) committed ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity when it took over the Sudanese city of el-Fasher in October 2025 and killed tens of thousands of people, according to a new report by Amnesty International.
Newly delivered UAE-made 🇦🇪 armoured vehicles based on the Dodge Ram chassis, finished in a grey-and-tan desert camouflage scheme, have been spotted in Nyala, South Darfur 🇸🇩, where they have been handed over to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Not enough people are paying attention to this. The UAE is fueling the civil war in Sudan, arming the RSF who the Trump admin admits is committing a genocide. And yet, this admin refuses to hold them accountable.
We should be asking why.
Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces, a rebel paramilitary group locked in a blood-soaked civil war with the Sudanese armed forces, committed crimes against humanity as it seized the city of El Fashir in the country’s Darfur region last October, Amnesty International said. https://t.co/mkD94t01l4
🚨 New @amnesty ground breaking report on Sudan: RSF atrocities in El Fasher ‘a stain on the conscience of humanity’. RSF committed multiple crimes against humanity.
Int'l community MUST act now to prevent further atrocities incl in El Obeid

Hi @Safety, this account has been spreading disinformation about Sudan. For instance, in this tweet, he falsely claims the Sudanese army used chemical weapons against civilians. Indeed, the OPCW never issued any official findings on this case https://t.co/LxhGbyabcw
Today's quick update [Jul 1]:
- RSF drone strikes on Kosti, White Nile State.
- RSF drone strikes continue in ElObeid, North Kordofan.
- SAF continues to make advances in West Darfur, gaining control of Jebel Om area, north of state capital AlGineina.

The Rapid Support Forces paramilitary, armed and supplied with mercenaries by the United Arab Emirates, "committed crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing during its campaign to capture El Fasher” in Sudan, Amnesty International reports. https://t.co/3hXloYg3p7
💢 REPORT: The UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have intensified attacks on civilian infrastructure in El Obeid, Sudan, worsening an already severe humanitarian crisis, according to satellite imagery analysis by the Yale School of Public Health’s Humanitarian Research Lab.
➤ The report identifies damage consistent with aerial bombardment at at least 8 fuel stations between May 25 and June 25, along with new damage to the city’s electrical substation.
➤ Researchers say the strikes have:
🔹 Triggered a citywide blackout lasting at least four days after the electrical substation was hit.
🔹 Left long lines at the few remaining operational fuel stations after at least eight stations were damaged.
🔹 Shut down water pumps, disrupting access to drinking water.
🔹 Forced the closure of emergency departments and a kidney dialysis center because of fuel shortages.
🔹 Made it harder for civilians to flee the city and for humanitarian aid to reach those trapped inside.
➤ Satellite imagery also shows more than 700 new temporary shelters at displacement camps over the past month, pointing to a sharp influx of displaced civilians.
➤ The report warns that El Obeid, a city of more than 500,000 people, faces worsening shortages of food and water as RSF forces tighten their siege, raising the risk of increased civilian deaths and disease if the siege continues.
.
Everyone is preparing for a new phase of the war in Sudan's 🇸🇩 Kordofan.
Suspicious UAE cargo flights 🇦🇪, particularly by Boeing 747 freighters, have increased sharply this month to Libya 🇱🇾 and Chad 🇹🇩.
I've counted 27 B747 arrivals so far in Benghazi, Tobruk and N'Djamena.
The UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces in Sudan use “starvation is a tool of war…before flattening a town. Besieging a city frequently looks like squeezing the life from its inhabitants slowly before launching drone attacks on their farms and villages." https://t.co/kQUOXTc7RI
The int’l community had a year and a half to respond to the #RSF’s genocidal assault on El #Fasher; all it could do was point to the evidence of #genocide after the fact. There is good reason to believe that despite posturing my same int’l actors, El #Obeid will also fall to RSF.
Another victory for the #UAE and its proxy war in #Sudan.
The US sanctions Sudan for fabricated claims of chemical weapons use with out providing one scrap of evidence. this on top of the US trying to block weapons to Sudan while allowing the UAE to pour many tens of tons of weapons to their proxies in the RSF. very clear where the US stands in this crime
🚨 Please see the Ayin Network's exclusive footage inside El Obeid.
The Rapid Support Forces' current siege of El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, has been, unlike earlier attacks, strategic and methodical. Drones first targeted fuel stations and then electrical generators, effectively making life unbearable for civilians and driving them to evacuate the city. El Obeid has a population of roughly half a million, including between 100,000 and 200,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have already fled violence in other parts of Sudan. "In our assessment, the apparent objective of these attacks is to undermine the basic services that civilians depend on in their daily lives," one El Obied resident told Ayin.

The United States, Britain, and other Western governments ignored the ample warning signs of an imminent genocide in Sudan's El Fasher because the perpetrators, the Rapid Support Forces, were armed and supported by the rich United Arab Emirates. https://t.co/4iKFIF3Tyt
