The Alameda Boys & Girls Club provides a safe and positive place for young people to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens
We want to thank the @GileadSciences Foundation for being a supporter of our Great Futures for Teens project that offers our teens several ways to enhance their academic enrichment, increase their amount of creative outlets, and learn social-emotional and wellness and skills.
January is #NationalMentorMonth. Here at the Club, mentorship is at the core of all of our youth development programs, objectives and efforts. Each day we celebrate the power and impact of positive adult relationships with our members #mentor#mentoring#greatfuturesstarthere
This year, we would like to thank the @Safeway Foundation for supporting our year-round Seed-to-Table program. Aligned with their efforts to support youth education, this program teaches kids and teens about the environment, ecosystems, plants, gardening, cooking, fauna and more!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! We wish you all a bright holiday season and a wonderful new year surrounded by family and friends. Thank you for your continued support of our Club, staff and youth members. We are very grateful and couldn't do what we do without you!
Our Seed-to-Table Program allows our members to do many things: learn skills, garden, cook, discover, be creative, work together, interact with animals, help our environment and develop healthy habits! #greatfutures#boysandgirlsclub#youthgarden
Here at the Club, our Youth Development Mentors are very important. The unique bond they develop with our kids and teens is invaluable as they lead them toward great futures by teaching them skills, keeping them safe, increasing their confidence and supporting their growth.
Board Member Michael mentors our middle and high school members in our expressive and exploratory learning recording studio, teaching them about music principles, how to use the sound board and make recordings. We can't wait to hear what our members create! Thanks, Michael!
It was a very special day in 2005 when General Colin Powell visited the site of our current Clubhouse, giving a speech to our supporters about his dedication to serving youth. He also spoke with many of our Club members to learn about their challenges, families and stories.
Thank you so much to all the Sponsors, Exhibitors, Donors, Committee Members, Club Staff, Volunteers, Entertainers, Partners and Attendees of 2021 Corks, Forks, Rhythm & Brews!
