There is ZERO, I repeat ZERO, incentive to give a shit about working for an income when you can never buy a house on it.
ZERO.
Not rocket science.
People either need to be paid 10x more, or the housing market needs to crash 90%, or Bitcoin needs to hit $10m.
@RageSheen That’s scary. The neighbour could be responsible for people’s death if they follow their advice! It’s crazy how confident they are in their views even when someone’s life is in question… terrifying.
In the ground for millions and millions of years.
Dug up and sold, one time only, over maybe 150 years.
And what will we have to show for it?
"Sorry kids, we dug up our inheritance and spent it on tax cuts. There's no inheritance for you, because we were selfish."
This is that billionaire who’s obsessed w anti aging!! I actually rly appreciate him documenting and sharing this bc I’ve been saying for a WHILE how wild it is that fitness/ wellness ppl ignore COVID. This is reality! Masking up is anti aging y’all
A triple vaccinated billionaire who had a mild course of covid in late 2022 saw his lungs age 19 years in 3 days and, 18 months later, despite numerous therapies unavailable to ordinary people, has recovered less than half his pre-covid lung function. We are being killed
My lungs aged 19 years after having COVID.
After 18 months and numerous interventions, my lungs still have not regained full capacity.
+ In 2021, my lung capacity was age 26.
+ By Nov 2022, after getting covid, my lung capacity was age 45.
+ Now 2024, my lung capacity is age 37.
My covid symptoms were very mild and lasted only 3 days. Lung therapies below.
@plumskyjam@nb_covid_info@CrabbBrendan Also changed my home air filter - the difference is astounding. This is after 8 months, plus I also vacuumed the dust off the outside at about 5 months in. I hope they will continue making the filters to fit this model!
@plumskyjam@nb_covid_info@CrabbBrendan I was able to get a HEPA cabin air filter from super cheap and change easily myself. Feel good knowing the air is cleaner!
The average Australian spends about 90% of their time indoors. While indoor air quality is considered a serious risk to public health worldwide, many countries—including Australia—do not have indoor air quality standards. ...
@JordanCrane2 I wrote to Shannon Fentiman last year about not requiring masking in hospitals and the high levels of QLD Health staff who were off with COVID and got a very unsatisfactory response too. They are pushing for everything to go back to pre-covid. In huge denial.
#COVID19 took too many lives, wreaked havoc on our communities, and pushed millions of people into poverty. It didn’t have to be this way.
I join @GlblCtzn's call to world leaders to get the #PandemicAccord done. And I invite you to join, too:

Everyone is going back and forth... but no one is saying it...
COVID will never be a cold because SARS2 is syncytial.
Colds are not syncytial... (RSV is not a cold even though we only stopped mishandling it because of the Pandemic and the increased risk from COVID infections.)
This is the significant difference between SARS2 and the 100s of "common cold" viruses. Colds do not leave significant permanent damage in the vast majority of cases... it can still happen but it's technically rare.
Syncytial viruses destroy massive amounts of cells in every scenario... All of our most feared viruses are syncytial and they have varied level of severity of mechanics. SARS2 is especially bad... Measles seems like it's more severe even.
Each of their unique mechanics is based on their invasion point ultimately demonstrating the pattern of cell structures that will be disrupted and what type of symptoms to expect from sequelae.
As the pathogens hijack existing functions that allow the Cells to interact with each other already, you can a draw line from cell type to cell type to illustrate how cells will be pulled into syncytia via nanotubes. SARS2 can still use its spike on the newly invaded cell too which seems kinda new.
But this concept of syncytia formation is the line we define severity by... even with COVID... Omicron was less severe because it created syncytium in the the lungs not as effectively as it had previously. Though it just got better at doing it in the brain, this was based on a temperature preference for syncytial formation, but that's a different thread...
Quick side note, no one checked anywhere but the lungs before calling it less severe and that lack of severity in the lungs was reversing by BA.2 which ironically was in the same study used to describe it as mild.
But back to the point, this is why we cannot classify SARS2 as a virus of the lungs... it's a vascular disease because it invades ACE2 and makes syncytia from that point.
HIV is an Immune disease because it invades CD4s and then creates syncytia from there disrupting your immune system.
Measles can invade any cell with a Nucleus so that's why it's a full body disease and makes it's mechanics arguably more severe in every case.
And SARS2 invades the ACE2 which is in our blood vessels which makes COVID a vascular disease. While that might be a less severe mechanic it has more severe outcomes.
SARS2 is in categories with Measles, HIV, and other syncytial pathogens which includes Herpes that is essentially the lowest level of syncytial risk and another virus that never goes away.
SARS2 will never be a cold, it will always be severe.
That's probably why it's what the first S in SARS means and denial of that severity comes with extreme punishment to your body except in extremely rare cases.
When it comes to COVID... the harmed person is not the rare event.
In this case, the unharmed person is the rare event.
And that is why it will NEVER be a cold.
Even if you're immune response feels similar... The damage is much more significant.
I believe that prioritizing and funding research into endothelial diseases will hugely advance our understanding of human physiology and pathology. It will help us understand many other diseases.
@SawyerBlatz Thanks for raising awareness of this serious condition. I hope you’ll be able to do more of the things you love when treatments are found.
