Major win in the fight against maritime drug trafficking
Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) San Juan carried out a high-impact surveillance operation that led to the arrest of two Dominican nationals attempting to transport narcotics by sea. The operation resulted in the seizure of 288 kilograms of cocaine.
This prosecution is part of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) initiative, established by Executive Order 14159, Protecting the American People Against Invasion. HSTF is a whole-of-government partnership dedicated to eliminating criminal cartels, foreign gangs, transnational criminal organizations, and human smuggling and trafficking rings operating in the U.S. and abroad.
HSTF San Juan includes federal, state, and local partners working together to protect Puerto Rico and secure our borders.
