This designation is reserved for individuals who play a key role in enabling or supporting major transnational criminal organizations, including large-scale drug trafficking and money laundering networks.

Erick Randhiel Mosquea Polanco, also known as “Ramon” and “E,” an alleged leader of a Dominican Republic-based international cocaine trafficking and money laundering organization, has been extradited from Colombia to the United States. Mosquea Polanco faces charges stemming from decade-old HSI investigations. After allegedly evading justice for years, he made his initial appearance in Puerto Rico and will face further proceedings in New Jersey.

His alleged narcotics network has been dismantled, and his time on the run has ended. He will now face justice. These prosecutions are part of the Homeland Security Task Force (@HSTaskForce) initiative.

MAJOR BLOW TO TRANSNATIONAL CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION

The Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) San Juan has delivered a significant blow, disrupting a violent transnational criminal organization operating in Puerto Rico, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and the continental United States. As of today, our efforts have resulted in:

42 members indicted
Over 1,200 kilograms of cocaine seized
$8 million in assets seized
Multiple violent offenders and TCO leaders brought to justice

This ongoing investigation has uncovered major drug trafficking, money laundering, and violent criminal activity, including charges tied to multiple homicides in Puerto Rico. Among these charges is a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act charge, underscoring the organized nature and severity of these crimes. This marks a critical step in HSTF’s efforts to dismantle these organizations and hold their members accountable under federal law.

Homeland Security Task Force (@HSTFNCC) partners remain committed to ensuring dangerous criminal leaders stay behind bars and our communities remain safe.
