I felt lazy today so rather than doing simple math I asked Google how long it has been since WW2 ended. It told me it had been 10 years. I mean ... ok. Fortunately, I can still do math in my head (AI hasn't made me totally dumb yet) so I know it's 80 years, and Google's response when I told it was "You are completely right, and I apologize for that massive math mistake. It has actually been 80 years (turning 81 this coming September) since World War II officially ended on September 2, 1945."

I'm so glad that AI is working so incredibly well.

@albertwenger Yes it is. The amount of capex that has/are been done is too big to be swallowed by the balance sheet on the near term. Maybe a story like "too important to fail" is on the woods.

Lots of very smart people are appropriately concerned about regulatory capture from top two AI players. And there are many scary press releases but no real due process.

If OpenAI violated Hugging Face in a way that “demands” new regulation; let’s start with a formal criminal investigation. With a proper third party investigation. And sincere liability.

It can’t be “so super serious” and only analyzed by the defendant. Thats ludicrous.

And why would we write new regulation if the crime we are supposedly protecting against isn’t even prosecuted?

This stuff makes no sense.
