@flintyclint@KanekoaTheGreat when he says "balanced" court, who will be doing the balancing? presumably him, since it's him proposing the idea. Do you really think that process will be truly balanced? If you're handed an "i win" button in the form of being arbiter over who sits in the court, you'll use it.
@IterIntellectus you don't think a person can oppose data centers without a CCP mind demon? to me this POV is like the Russian psyops thing. "Nobody can possibly disagree with the status quo unless they're infected by foreign mind viruses".
@eugyppius1 90% of debates are about clip farming for the audience. Hardly anyone ever changes their opinion based on a debate. Both sides will post the same clips and call it a victory for their side.
@KugelV6 is this the algorithm ragebaiting me? it is entirely logical and natural that if you see that nobody cares about a place, you won't care for it either, most likely.
@jabatoreacciona@cremieuxrecueil@ElOpina57229 what you are referring to already exists. It's called being a NEET. We know what NEETdom produces: gooners that watch anime and smoke weed 25 hours a day. With all the abundant time they have, NEETs never come out as artists and stuff. Why would this suddenly change?
@cremieuxrecueil income vs cost of living? if we are getting richer why cant nobody under 30 get a job and half of these still live with their parents?
@badguy974@cremieuxrecueil even if it was as good as it's claimed to be today, the reality is that we're not paying the real cost of AI. Doesn't OpenAI lose billions each month? or year, whatever. Once they have to jack up prices or enshitify the bubble may pop.
