Strict tech rules at boarding school a bonus for teens’ #sleep 😴 (but they're still just as grumpy) new @UniversitySA reveals. @ReardonASleep and @AlexAgostini3 found boarders get 40 mins more shuteye each night than their day peers, @BPSjournals reports. https://t.co/csfGlVjf4G
Boarding can be a difficult adjustment for some students, but our paper suggests that sleep might not be a contributing factor (if managed appropriately). Very happy to see this honours thesis published!

Super proud of all the UniSA psych hons students (with a special soft spot for those I personally supervise). A great few days of excellent presentations on their honours projects!
Massive well done to Rahul, a @UniversitySA Psych hons student supervised by myself & @AlexAgostini3, for presenting his thesis on the effects of breaking up sitting during the nightshift on the commute home 🚗😴🏃♂️ Data from the Sleepy Sitting study run at @CQUni_Appleton
Ending the week with our next NEST Spotlight! This week we have @AlexAgostini3, an ECR & psychology lecturer at @UniversitySA. Alex researches sleep, health, wellbeing, & development, with a particular focus on adolescent/teen sleep 😴. She may also be the NEST pasta champion 🍝

@Ice_Krm1@unseenacademic1@MachineEcon But then how is it fair to those on a lower grade who might be able to improve their grade with the final exam? As educators, we set these assessments for a reason. Students know about them for the whole semester. Every student should need to complete every assessment.
Great new paper out from @JillDorrian, Dr Steph Centofanti and team on the effect of mobile phone use at night on the sleep of 252,195 Aus adolescents - points to the need to promote adolescent sleep hygiene! 😴📱 @BBBRC_@unisaresearch https://t.co/jpNwn7JDSy
