@ASFleischman "every war in history" means also:
1. The Peloponnesian War
2. The Punic Wars
3. Roman conquest of Haul
4. Three Kingdoms War
5. The Mongol conquest of Eurasia
6. Norman conquest of England
7. English Civil War
And don't get me started on the defenestration of Prague
@GCoell@_ZachGriff Yeah, but the gap is bigger without the nonstop.
The LH and TP connections to get to Spain are suboptimal compared to the competitive options through MAD or BCN.
@pitdesi Don't underestimate how the same tools that work for acquisition/conversion drive retention too.
Threads would possibly be forgotten except that the main Meta apps keep driving traffic there
@_ZachGriff My thoughts on the A terminal will be forever tainted by my experience making an intl connection with 90 minutes btw flights. 0 immigration wait, 5 minutes to get bags, and I barely made the flight.
@anothercohen On a good day, doing a straight arrival with carry-on, it's pretty ok. At its worst, it is like LAX and ORD mated.
Or such is my experience.
@anothercohen The security at the new A terminal, the 1980s vintage Air train, the shortage of gates, common ATC ground stops, taxi times, traffic getting from Manhattan, lounge overcrowding.
@MCCCANM Not to mention health. When I was younger, we had a family friend who was a retired pilot/trainer. He had been forced out of line duty bc of a brain tumor in his 40s then furloughed. As I am grow older I understand what a hit that would be.
@jgaytandeayala The dude lives in Encinitas. It's almost a paradise: on the ocean, accessible but not overcrowded. Which OTOH means that ofc London compares unfavorably. Put the guy in LA and see if he says the same thing lol
