Per Fangraphs, Dick Allen is the 50th-most valuable offensive player in MLB history. Before today, he was the most valuable offensive non-HOFer with zero steroid allegations

Now, at long last, Dick Allen is in the National Baseball Hall of Fame

[National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum ⚾ @baseballhall]

Welcome to Cooperstown, Dick Allen!

The baseball playoffs are the most random playoffs in sports. Any given team can win a short series

The Rays won a pennant with the majority of their lineup being atrocious, and their entire rotation outperforming their expected stats

Sometimes a team just happens to win, and another just happens to lose

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@YankeesFiles That’s Lockdown Jeremy to you

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@BaseballWRLD_ Sam Hilliard was the Willie Mays of Jabari Blashes. No surprise he’s a KBO darling

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@YankeesFiles https://t.co/SVCmUpkpsE And their softer swingers still have cool, analytical swinging methodologies!

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@YankeesFiles Get this man a true

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@CoachRodrigues2 Lol great minds think alike. I can see it making the graphic cluttered

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@YankeesFiles Reminder of how random baseball is

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@RyanGarciaMLB Happy birthday! I’m honored to have spent the past 6+ years talking ball with you!

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@RyanGarciaMLB Reminder of this. Maybe the first article discussing how high Schlittler’s ceiling can be

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@YankeesFiles I’m using this to remind everyone that Hack Wilson’s 191-RBI season was the closest MVP race in baseball history

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@Jolly_Olive https://t.co/kdNGUlqnYP Historic loss of power

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

Cal Raleigh and Taylor Ward have seen their ISOs drop over 150 points from 2025 to 2026

Both are among the 20 biggest power decreases in MLB history

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@mookiemuse7 @AcunaPlusButler You’d be surprised

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

2026 is the second season in 135 years were 7+ of the top-11 players in WAR are pitchers or two-way players (per FanGraphs)

[Tangotiger 🍁 @tangotiger]

Removing Ohtani, we have 6 pitchers in the top 11 in fWAR

I can't remember the last time we had more pitchers than nonpitchers in the top 11

Indeed, I will just say, without any research at all: that has never happened!

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

Hunter Goodman has accumulated 4.5 WAR in his 4-year MLB career (per FanGraphs)

This makes him the most valuable catcher in Rockies history, surpassing Chris Iannetta’s 4.2 WAR

[PaceBall @paceball__]

Hunter Goodman is on pace for 41 home runs this season.

Season Stats:
39 HR  |  82 RBI
.245 AVG  |  .312 OBP  |  .840 OPS

Pace: 41 HR  |  86 RBI

@thekewn062 @JonathanL81419 @rjohnston4 @DSzymborski Walter Holke was a bad .300 hitter from 1922 to 1924

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@AcunaPlusButler @tangotiger Get this man a true

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@AcunaPlusButler I don’t believe so. The closest is (kinda ironically) 2018 Sale coming in 12th with 6.2 WAR in 158.0 IP

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

@ala56338 None, I messed up my code there. Slot DH: 2 for Yordan Alvarez and Ben Rice and take one away from 1B

[Alex @AlexDevMLB]

Primary position by the top-30 hitters in fWAR

C: 2
1B: 3
2B: 6
3B: 5
SS: 4
LF: 2
CF: 3
RF: 3
UT: 2

The last full season with more than 3 full-time centerfielders in the top 30 was 2015

[AT @BaseballWRLD_]

War overrates center field defense so much that only one of them has even cracked 4.5
