@tjparker Unstructured data accurately interpreted (sure, with AI) and consumed is THE solution to healthcare interoperability. Trying for force orgs to align on the same version of FHIR or HLV vX has not/does not/will never reach mass adoption. Faxes ftw!
@healthcareandy I’m very curious how much of this RIF affects roles made redundant by these acquisitions. Direct, acquisition-driven layoffs would not be surprising at all.
@nikillinit Isn’t Homeward Health leaning into rural care? Not sure if they’re going into full acute care though. My business only deals in hospital-at-home but right now these programs still revolve around the nuclear hospital and are in metros
@StuartBlitz@ColtonOrtolf I would think they’ll always be the best of breed for large, integrated healthcare institutions (ie hospitals) but more care is being unbundled/delivered outside physical hospitals so Epic’s absolute impact would diminish.
@tomhalterman@AustinBaeth If you’re offered the choice to be punched in the stomach once or twice, would you choose to get punched once but also ask to not get punched at all?
@njkingsbury57@anarresian @DBZHGWgamer @TheChiefNerd I’m not sure how a layperson is going to evaluate the accuracy and honesty of these theoretical organizations. Again, seems plausible until you start parsing through the details.
@njkingsbury57@anarresian @DBZHGWgamer @TheChiefNerd Good in theory but then I think to the independent bond rating agencies (Moody’s, S&P) who did a terrible job risk scoring in the run-up to the Great Recession. The companies pay the agencies which creates incentives.
@njkingsbury57@anarresian @DBZHGWgamer @TheChiefNerd Not sure that solves any fundamental problems. Don’t you want your drug approvers to be somewhat accountable to the public?
@SethDillon All I’ve learned this week is that I’m clearly under-utilizing cakes as a medium to convey all my strongest-held beliefs. “Happy Birthday”? Amateurism.
@BillAckman@PershingSqFdn You should challenge established, data-supported science with new, credible data. Not wild ideas unsubstantiated by anything other than the source’s imagination and biases.
