Our Barcelona-based summer school, BAMB! (https://t.co/x6HVqIY85F), just opened applications! Come join us: 16-25th July, to learn how to model behavioral data using RL, Bayesian, latent variable models, RNNs, DDMs & more! #BAMB2024
📢🗓️✨Save the date for #BAMB2024: July 16-25, 2024 in Barcelona! https://t.co/h60Tb0y51v More details about program & applications will be available soon.
Hey there! I have an open postdoc position to work on a flexible mix of theory & human experiments on bayesian perception. At @CRMatematica, Barcelona. DM me if interested. Pass around 🙏.
I am very excited to announce that I will start my own lab at the Grossman Center at @UChicago_Brains in late winter 2024! I am looking forward to working alongside with its members and the rest of the Dept. of Neurobiology. I'll start hiring soon, reach out if interested!

Post-doc position in RL and Comp Neuro, jointly with the labs of AI and Machine Learning of Anders Jonson and @vicen__gomez, and my lab.
Come to work to Barcelona on the foundations of reward-free RL, planning and decision making.
🎉Happy to announce that I opened my computational neuroscience group at @inmed_u1249 and @centuri_ls, on the wonderful campus of Luminy in Marseille.
We will focus on the neural dynamics of memory and learning.
Contact me if interested in PhD and PostDoc positions in the lab.
A truly incredible experience. I have met so many lovely people here♥️. The lectures and hands-on practices are super helpful. It reminds me of how lucky I am to do research in such a cool and supportive community ✨. #BAMB2023
Barcelona summer school for advanced modelling of behaviour starts today. Welcome to our students! And thank you @heikecstein@AlexHyafil@marion_rouault@kwwimmer for putting in a huge effort to make this happen. It's going to be a fun 10 days.
Please RT — We have open PostDoc, PhD and RA positions in Computational Neuroscience at @UCLA!

@azylb@eLife@jpillowtime@realAlexHuk@jrochav@Leorkatz ... but bc of internal connectivity, LIP activity is averaged during post-stim period, so indiv neurons become sensitive to evidence at all stim samples. Does this make sense?
“Temporal integration is a robust feature of perceptual decisions” -> new paper @eLife with @jpillowtime@realAlexHuk@jrochav@Leorkatz and Cristina Pericas. https://t.co/Tj86noyFOR. That was fun so let’s put that in a thread! 👇 1/9
@azylb@eLife@jpillowtime@realAlexHuk@jrochav@Leorkatz We are analyzing here the spike counts of LIP neurons *after* stimulus offset, so it's difficult to draw any conclusion about the dynamics of LIP spiking during stim presentation. e.g. individual neurons could step up/down during stim, being only sensitive to one stim sample ...
So, our overall message is quite reassuring: temporal integration indeed seems to be a general property of mammal perceptual decisions. Want to test this (or other forms of integration) in your data? All data & codes on https://t.co/lWI56qDWwQ.
Last but not least, we introduce “integration maps” that directly test of whether two sources of information (here, information in the early & late portions of the stim) are integrated prior to a decision. Straight isolines are an unfalsifiable signature of integration, we argue.
