We are very thrilled to share lovely photo of the Worldwide No. 2 patient implanted with the HeartMate 3 LVAS while celebrating her “9th HM3 birthday” among her beloved ones. Extremely encouraging promise for both patients and our global mechanical circulatory support community!
Too proud not to share. 5 K this morning with my son and father. And BOTH of them placed in their age group! 3 generations on the pavement today. We were hoping to be the first to register too but it looks like one person beat us to the number 1 :)

Hospitalized pt: My angiogram is at 10 AM?
Wrong: Yes, 10 AM!
Right: Well, 10 AM in "hospital time." Emergencies can happen- you might not go until early afternoon.
Prepare the patient -manage expectations.
