This is such a fun way to encourage the whole class to grow in classroom behavior and community! As the students work toward a common goal they are encouraging each other and working together! LOVE THIS #EDEL339
I absolutely LOVE this idea! This is a great way to start off each school day. It gives the teacher and the students a good sense of how the day will go and how everyone is feeling. AWESOME! #classroommanagement#edel339
A current trend in education is to get students moving! I believe it is so important to allow students to release their energy! I also love the idea of teaching mindfulness strategies! I definitely want to use movement and mindfulness in my future classroom! #edel339
It honestly blows my mind that this would even be considered. I remember when I was in school and even being in a school now, special olympics were and always will be a HUGE deal and everyone loves it. I find this to be a huge issue in education. #edel339
R4: When selecting a school, the main thing I want is for a good teacher-student relationship. I also want to work for a school that has good collaboration between teachers. #edel339twitterchat
@smemelissa R1: Hey guys, it's Alex Marler from Waynesville, NC. My favorite books growing up were always the Junie B. Jones books! #edel339twitterchat
#edel339 I have realized this past week that a student could receive a 50 on a standardized test and that looks bad until you compare it to there 20 on the previous test.
I feel that our students social and emotional needs must be met before learning takes place. This won't always be fully met but as teachers it is our responsibility to make sure we do our best to make our students feel comfortable and safe in our classroom. #edel339
I love the idea of saying these things rather than telling students "Great job!" or "You're so smart!". These statements give students room for improvement and growth. It also doesn't shame them if they do not get the correct answer. #edel339
I agree, it is important that students fill out self evaluations, this is how we will figure out how they feel about the material. Assessment is always important, we can help students better understand or move on. We have to be careful to never test too much though! #edel339

Assessments are important for students as well as teachers. We can make changes to better our teaching strategies based on the results. I feel that it is also important for students to comlete self evaluations. This can help them learn and make corrections on their own.
I don't know about you but I am much better person when I am feeling loved. As teachers, we need to always show love to our students because who knows what they are dealing with outside the classroom. Always create a safe and loving environment so students can grow! #edel339 🍎
Kids aren't born with self-regulation. We must give them coping strategies instead of expecting them to just figure it out or disciplining them. #kidsdeserveit#teachergoals
