Use stocks and shares ISA for Stocks and Shares
Use Cash ISA for cash

You can transfer between the accounts freely as long as it doesn't exit the ISA wrapper.

@XplodingCabbage @9spdv2 @lawrencenewport Yes - individuals can make their own choices and risks *but* policy is about catering for broadest set of people - what over-65s don't have is years, so if they've made money and put it in cash instead of S&S it exposes them to less risk.

@9spdv2 @XplodingCabbage @lawrencenewport I think you're missing the point - it's dangerous to push people who have less years in front of them to make risky investments that turn bad at the point where they have no meaningful way to recoup the losses.

I'm talking at a policy level - what individuals do is up to them

The closer you are to retirement the less exposure you should have to risk (i.e. the stock market's rises and falls) if you're 30 and stocks plummet it's fine because you can wait out a bear market, if you're 65 you don't have that luxury.

The goalkeeper is untouchable and gets a lot of protection in the rules - everyone else is fair game it seems and that's where people take issue (I believe)

I don't think what we do is against the rules as they stand, and there are plenty of examples of us conceding to blocks - when we have complained before we've been told to get on with it.

@AJenkins89 @terryflewers @markgoldbridge It’s just standing in the way. Keepers get an advantage because they’re allowed to use their arms so need to be positive and come for the ball by creating separation before the kick - if they’re pinned it’s on them for not giving themselves the space.
