@UMAprotocol@Polymarket@UMAGovernance@OOTruthBot@Dune Your system is broken and useless. After a 2 billion investment in Polymarket you could at least respect the rules. The rules on the markets are clearly written yet you go against them. The facts are clearly written yet you go against them. Looks like corruption to me!
Need to start this rant by saying that Polymarket is in my opinion one of the best things that happened to betting markets. It seems almost certain that with the right regulatory approvals they will continue to grow for many years to come. Prediction markets are much more accessible to and transparent for the average investor and in the same way a great alternative to abusive casinos and sports betting providers.
However what the fuck is up with polymarket making no effort in policing their own markets. It seem like every day there are disputed markets that often settle disputed without a clear rules clarification leaving many casual users unsatisfied with their experience.
And then you have the larger issue of markets that just plainly settle wrong. Very often those are small, low market cap markets where a couple of whales buy the market up closed to 100% and then propose every single bracket in those markets.
For example the "when will Israel announce a Ceasefire with Hamas" market. The rules many times specify "Israel officially announce a ceasefire with hamas".
Now we all know the ceasefire didnt start yesterday and the question for this market should be if Israel has officially announced the ceasefire. Today Israel officially announced that the government would convene and vote on a Ceasefire. Nobody in the Israeli government announced the Ceasefire yet and it hasnt gone into effect either. And this is not by accident. Bibi didnt accidentally avoid announcing a ceasefire without the government having approved one and there is still a small chance the deal breaks through. Again this market isnt about if there will be a ceasefire or not, its just about if Israel officially announces one. So yeah it doesnt matter if the deal might fall through, but without israel even officially acknowledging a ceasefire this should never settle yes.
Now the problem is the "8th market" got a lot of attention. But all of the other dates (24 all together) did not get any attention which makes sense since the chance that the Israeli government will not announce a ceasefire today or yesterday and then announce one on any of the other dates is virtually 0. So it makes no financial sense for anyone to buy any of the other dates or to dispute them. To dispute all the 24 markets someone would have had to come up with 36k USD just for disputes (750 usd per dispute and 2x per bracket).
Whales know that if any bracket closes no they are virtually guaranteed that every single bracket settles as well and if they get disputed the closed market can just be referenced. Apart from that UMA is trash for disputes and anyone willing to put 36k usd into UMAs hands is stupid.
Again, Trump in his post did announce the deal as a done deal and like peace is coming to the middle east. But this market wasnt about Trump, its about when Israel will officially announce a ceasefire and that DID NOT happen yesterday.
Now most brackets settled NO and its hopeless to hope that the market for the 8th will also correctly settle no.
Polymarket needs to figure this out. Low market cap markets with many brackets are way to vulnerable to false proposals. It shouldnt be possible for any future dates to be proposed as NO without a previous date settling as YES. Like that any dispute only costs 1500 usd as it should and anyone spending those 1500 usd at least knows it will come to a fair vote.

@Rippler_Effec7 I sold about 180XRP at an average price of 1.75, and put a buy order at 1.522 (because when you look at the depth chart, it won’t hit 1.5). This should allow me to win an extra 28XRP. I know it’s not a lot but I don’t have a lot of money
@Viltrumo@WarMonitors Honey, Israel beat 6 arab countries in a 1v6 when the 6 arab countries all had full support in training, equipment from the USSR.
