Under a 2025 law, Kansas Republicans could attempt to avoid holding an election for U.S. Senate this year by having the incumbent, Republican Roger Marshall, resign from office. #ksleg via @TimVCarpenter https://t.co/8dNph8JEci
Gov. @GavinNewsom: To Donald Trump, who I know is watching because he watches everything, I have a message for you. You can subpoena my records, you can investigate me, you can harass me. Put my name on every and any enemies list you have, but leave my wife and family out of your personal vendetta.
Today, my wife & I joined Donald Trump’s hit list. He has directed his Department of Justice to investigate us. They have not found a crime - they are simply trying to find one.
He isn't coming after me because of mean tweets, but because I am considering running for President.
He hates that I consistently call him out. He is simply the most corrupt President in American history.
We have nothing to hide.
Mr. President, come after me. I am not going anywhere.
The country is watching.
An issue that I haven’t seen discussed widely but one we all have to be wary of:
When the online conversation #onhere doesn’t match real life.
That’s what happened in the LA mayor’s race. And it was only a matter of time once MAGA content accounts were prioritized over others.
This platform’s algorithm was heavily pushing Pratt which led to prediction markets echoing & political accounts covering — creating a circular effect. But no one really stopped to think how many people in LA still have an active Twitter account! I doubt it’s as many as used to.
There was evidence of this with Pratt’s donor base (only 18% in LA).
The combo of algo pushing content + established distrust in the system by same party — along with disproportionate amount of political conversation / coverage on this platform led to a ripe environment for conspiracy theories to spread.
It’s only going to get worse as platform algos continue to be gamed, platforms don’t self regulate and instead prioritize profits over a real people’s actual town square (claimed to be goal by this platform’s owner).
California is taking the world's largest civilian aerial firefighting fleet to the next level.
@CAL_FIRE just added A FOURTH C-130 Hercules airtanker to our extraordinary arsenal, retrofitted for peak wildfire suppression operations across the state.
One year ago today, @realDonaldTrump's masked agents began their brutal, chaotic raids of communities in LA and across Southern California.
Hours later, Trump illegally took over @TheCalGuard, militarizing American neighborhoods to make his authoritarian goals a reality.
As Trump and Stephen Miller continue to impose their extreme agenda and hurt our communities, California continues to support our state's families and fight back.
Today, we remember a legend.
On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generation’s timeline.
Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme.
He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe.
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Rest easy to a true patriot. 🕊️🇺🇸

Forever in our hearts.
Kansas cannot enforce its ban on nonsurgical gender-transition treatments for minors, a judge ruled. “This is a momentous win for not just our plaintiffs, but for everyone who is affected in Kansas,” said a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union.
