@jang_akhbar is a shameless publication and a peddler of Fake News. It printed this story https://t.co/ZpRJDGBfte even though it is clear that Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light is an entirely different sect (derived from twelver Shiism) from the Ahmadiya Jamaat (who you pejoratively call Qadianis or Mirzais). Yet it didn’t stop Jang from publishing this baseless and pointless lie and propaganda against a law abiding and upstanding community.
@vikrantgupta73 This is pure speculation dressed up as “breaking news.” No sources, no facts, just noise. Please stop spreading rumors when you have zero credibility.
A brutal and horrifying targeted attack in Khushab in which Mubashir Ahmad Virk, an Ahmadi, was shot. Targeting anyone for their faith is unacceptable. The Ahmadi community in Pakistan has faced relentless persecution. This violence must end, and those responsible must be held accountable. #ReligiousFreedom #StopPersecution
@AnwarLodhi If his interests and PTI’s interests are really different, then appointing him as party chairman raises serious questions about PTI’s own judgment.
@Asad_Umar While economic pain, massive taxes and internet disruptions matter, the real drivers of Pakistan’s talent exodus are religious intolerance, fear of persecution, political uncertainty, and the breakdown of rule of law. Without addressing these, the brain drain will continue.
No society moves forward by criminalising belief. Punishing individuals for their faith undermines the rule of law and violates basic human rights. The punishment in the Mubarak Sani case was unjust and contrary to fundamental principles of justice.
Punishing someone for an act that was not a crime at the time is plainly wrong. Laws cannot be applied retrospectively. The punishment in the Mubarak Sani case fails a basic test of justice.
