1) Here's a brilliant pic to explain latest gen aero in Moto GP. Aero downforce is a vector from the devices CoP (centre of pressure) down, when a bike leans there are now both both downwards and outwards components to those vectors. With the 'wings' mostly pushing out

@McGettrickDamo @matoxley I did a very similar thing for my A level project at college (pre university), made a cardboard wind tunnel, my own wing from bulsa wood on an adjustable mount sitting on a pair of scales, adjusting angle of attach measuring load and drag! sent me down this path lol
