2008 ގަ ރ.ޖ ގެ މަގާމާއި ހަވާލުވެފަ، ފުރަތަމަ ކުރިކަމަކީ ރ.މައުމޫންއަށް މަޢާފްކުރުން. އެޗެޕްޓާރ ނިންމާލި! 2012 ގަ ވެރިކަން ނިމި، އޭގެ ފަހުން ރައްޔިތުންނަށްވީ އެއްވެސް ގެއްލުމަކަށް އިންސާފެއް ނުލިބުނު. ގޯހުންވީ ގޯސް!
މިއަދު ފަށަން ޖެހިފަ މިއޮތީ 2012 ނިމުނު ހިސާބުން!

@thayyib އަންނި ޕާޓީއިން ބޭރުކުރީމާ ޕާޓީއެއް އުފެއްދީ. ބައެއް ސަޕޯޓަރުން އަންނިއާއކު ޕާޓީއަށް ޖޮއިންކުރީ. އަނެއްބައި އެމްޑީޕީގަތިބެ ޕާޓީއަށްބުނީ ނޫނެކޭ! ޕާޓީ ކަމުދިޔަޔަސް ހިންގާލަން އައި މީހުން ކަމު ނުދިޔައީ.
During R. Nasheed’s time, many claimed people left—founders, party leaders—but #MDP kept winning major elections and continued to grow. Then Nasheed left, what happened to the party?
In the last election, most seats went to the Gov. due to no MDP candidates.
Faction politics within MDP existed even in the beginning… but then it was Nasheed faction which dominated & those who voiced out effectively got “excommunicated” from the party!
Unceremoniously!
The hold Nasheed had on MDP was immense… which meant Nasheed factions methods to eliminate all threats to Nasheed was clapped on by party members who appeared to have settled into a cult mentality!
The same people who came out to defeat the cult mentality of PMAG were molded into what they stood against!
Has to be said… Nasheed was effective in turning MDP into a group ready to accept & do, without question, whatever he wanted!
The change to MDP only happened due to PYAG’s decision to trap PN in jail!
Due to this he was forced to give in and reluctantly allow someone else to contest for presidency!
He chose his good friend & family member IMS… thinking he’d be better able to control him!
IMS was not chosen by MDP members. Members were not given the choice to choose their candidate!
Nasheed chose for them! People who complained were labeled baagees or whatever other label!
IMS came to power through a coalition. A coalition which Nasheed also had to agree to… even though the coalition included PMAG, Qasim, Nazim etc who were instrumental in bringing about the coup against Nasheed.
Nasheed faction destabilizing work within the party began even before Solih came to power.
Which lead to intense internal fighting, preventing efficient government and distracting from policy implementation.
Destabilize was Nasheed & his faction main agenda!
The factional struggle lead to compromise or, conversely, to party fragmentation…the differences were/are irreconcilable!
PIMS did not allow Nasheed to dictate his presidency.
PIMS stopped Nasheed & faction from bullying people into submission.
Nasheed faction used social media to threaten people by spinning rumors & gossip about the personal lives of members or attacked their families.
Some were intimidated by this & kept quiet but as time passed and Nasheed kept digging his grave through factional dirty politics… members moved away from the destructive nature of Nasheed faction.
Finally Nasheed left and made a new party just for Nasheed. When he didn’t win the MDP presidential ticket! I suppose it was inconceivable for him to think he could lose! But people were fed up!
Ironically the party made for Nasheed… one man… was named “Democrats”!
Democrats got no support!
Their candidate for presidency did poorly. Next round Nasheed & co joined hands with MDP’s opposition to bring Muizzu to power.
MDP lost the presidential elections. Nasheedists took the credit for being the “king makers”! (i suppose they needed to feel like they won something but you’d think they won the presidency 😆)
Nasheed then resigned from his parliamentary duties, which his constituents had elected him for and hooked off to a UN job in Ghana!
Frankly it seemed like his handlers ejected him from the mess he was creating here and took him elsewhere for the time being!
He’s back again…. and MDP foolishly without any apologies or hindrance allowed the man who vowed to destroy the party, back in. (Again prolly due to his foreign backing)
Nasheed & co will do everything to destroy or “size kurun” ALL who stood against him!
This primary will show if MDP members want the party to grow… or want to go back to Nasheed’s way… even after
all what they did!
Let us see… watching to see what’s going to happen to the party who fought to end a dictatorship!
In the meantime…
Who is funding Nasheed?
Nasheed brought Israel to Raajje!
This is a threat to RAAJJE & against what majority Dhivehin stand for!
MDP needs to explain to Dhivehin whether or not the party or members within the party are getting funding from Israel or India or wherever!
