Can we get 500 retweets on this? This is one hell of an ad from the Democrat running for US Senate in North Dakota. The question is whether people will watch it and share it.
Books saves lives.
Book Bans kill kids.
This is why Library Staff protect the right to read.
To save a child’s life.
Maybe even your child?
Anybody fervently pursuing censorship through book banning is actively committing harm to children.
Protect kids. Protect the right to read.
These words, penned 70 years ago, are more relevant than ever today. Take some time on #July4th to read the entire #FreedomToRead Statement and add your name to declare your support for intellectual freedom.

Let me get this straight, “guns don’t kill people” but…
- Target merchandise makes you gay
- Bud Light makes you trans
- history books make you Marxist
Is that right?
In 1955, Mamie Till insisted the casket of her son, Emmett, be open so the world could see how grotesquely her son, 14, has been beaten & mutilated by a white mob in MS.
It was a watershed event in the civil rights movement.
I wonder how Americans would react if they similarly were confronted with images of innocents torn apart by AR-15s?
A 16 year old was shot for ringing the wrong doorbell.
A 20 year old was shot and killed for driving down the wrong driveway.
An 18 year old is in critical condition for trying to get into the wrong car.
And a 6 year old and her dad were shot because her basketball rolled onto the wrong lawn.
In a nation armed to the teeth & perpetually primed for war, these tragedies are only going to happen more often, not less.
What the hell are we doing?
The first libraries were founded by Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin - our founding fathers who believed in gathering people to discuss different ideas and to learn. Ironic that has been forgotten.
And don’t bother telling me it’s too early to “politicize” the Michigan State University mass shooting. In a nation that allows gun lobbyists to write our gun laws, shootings are always political. Prayers without action aren’t fixing this. ACT. #michiganstate
Classified docs - a shopping analogy:
As Biden walked out, the buzzer went off and he realized he mistakenly failed to pay for an item in his cart. He went back in and returned it.
Trump stuffed items in his pockets. When the buzzer sounded, he ran to his car and peeled out.
