Global Surgery is broadly defined as surgery for patients in the Global South/Low and Middle Income Countries, and these papers are relevant to those patients. However, loads of this research is just as relevant to patients in high income settings, where diseases, operations, and resources are very similar (e.g. preventing wound infection).
