My top 5 Indian perfume recs right now:
1. Calicut by Bombay Perfumery (spicy, woody, complex. It’s a perfume with a lot of character and layers. Very main character energy.)
2. Rose Oud by Secret Alchemist (starts off strong rose and settles into a very ‘grown up’ musky oud with a deep floral heart. It’s day to night, compliment machine.)
3. Umi and Yoru by Okami (ocean and spice, very reasonable, powdery finish on both, probably best sillage of the lot.)
4. Santal Safran by Maison De Fouzdar (this is STRONG, will last 18 hours if you layer right, very very sexy- sandalwood, saffron, musk. This is not for the faint of heart. Only get this if you want attention.)
5. Sambac Noix by Raahi (probably the most ‘delicate’ of the lot- I like very evocative scents!- raat ki rani with a vanilla heart. Very creamy, very sweet, I usually wear this for coffee/brunch. It’s playful, flirty, soft.)
Enjoy!
This Indian perfume brand is just…wow. They have just 4 scents and if you like crisp ocean scents, blindly buy Umi. First whiff of clean sea, amber wood heart, soft powdery finish. Enjoyed so much.
Check out these perfumes made in India. They are inspired by Japanese minimalist philosophy and are truly exceptional in my view. They offer great value for money too. My favourite is Yoru, which is now priced at INR 1,999.
