@tinangata In addition to flexibility early on, I'd suggest making a plan for handing over responsibilities that accommodates ability/preferences/unexpected situations. I felt I had to take on an urgent critical task in last ~2 months which didn't really serve anyone well.
READ BEFORE YOU VOTE IN LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS:
Voting is now open, so we’ve collated articles about candidates with links to misinformation groups or who hold conspiratorial views, organised by council to help you make informed choices.

@DrJacs1 It took me six weeks to feel like I was functioning normally, and I didn't have my bowel resectioned!
Like you I was pushing myself well before that, and it didn't end well. It's frustrating and hard to fight the impulse to be *doing something*.
We're compiling a list of local election candidates that believe in harmful conspiracy theories. Send us through any local candidate you come across! [email protected] https://t.co/URsBlUOPHn
@Phil_Tanner I'm not VI but it's sometimes helpful for additional context. In this case I missed the start of your project, these look like dioramas to me but I'm not certain. Also, I don't think it would be clear to someone who can't see the image that the two greens are too similar.
@DrJacs1 Good luck! They do have a tendency to toss one out of hospital without much of a plan, unfortunately. But considering it's part of the healing process you'd think it would be critical information!
@DrJacs1 If it helps: I found my pain started to improve in the 2nd week and off morphine at 2.5. Only 1 incision and no resection though. How long are you on the low residue diet? If a while, I found a dietician helpful navigating complicated dietary rules.
@DrJacs1 Yay for good histology! Nurofen can cause bleeding in the gut, might be worth asking GP/nurse what pain relief is appropriate? They can probably also give you something for nausea. Recently had the panadol/morphine problem myself and all I could do was halve the tablets.
@DrJacs1 In the middle of this myself. Agree with therapy suggestion. I've needed medication this time. What helps me in the gaps between support is staying present not zoning out, being realistic (and intentional) about what I can do, and (working on) accepting how I feel- good or bad.
Here's a 1-minute video showing--in the words of visualization hero @EdwardTufte--the "compared to what" factor for today's amazing @NASAWebb image. Thanks to the @WWTelescope for making this possible, and @ADavidWeigel. I only wish @NASA and @POTUS had shown the image this way!
@BexGraham TBH I'd like protection from advertising sometimes, it can get relentless. But proposing to only target what appears in low income areas... you've hit the nail on the head. Plus digital, TV, radio etc. affect everyone, and advertising away from home...
@BexGraham I felt so guilty when given flowers recently. They were beautiful but I didn't have the time or energy to care for them so they just sat on the bench and slowly died. I think it really depends on the context.
It's been a bit of a rough week so I ordered myself a treat from @WhiskandSpoonNZ which arrived this morning. I have already eaten 3 pieces and it is tasty!
