@JolyonMaugham Women aren’t arguing against protection of rights of transgender people. GC women want trans people safe, fairly housed & employed, free to express themselves as they wish. Where rights conflict we expect a fair balance to ensure women’s rights, safety & dignity are preserved.
The City of London is defying the Supreme Court in pledging to carry on with allowing men into the women's bathing pond.
Which men? City bosses say they will leave that to the "common sense" of frontline staff.
Lawful...? We'll see them in court in November.
Please follow developments on sex and gender in the EU and get involved if you possibly can.
Self-ID is being pushed by fanatical activists. Most politicians know next to nothing about these issues and think they should simply defer to “the experts.”
The people they think are “the experts” are the fanatical activists.
Most politicians steer clear of the issue and simply give in to the activists for a quiet life.
Meanwhile, the rights of women and LGB people are being trashed and measures recommended that cause serious mental and physical harm to children.
Looking away is not an option.
“New rules” @EmilyThornberry?
It’s statutory guidance. Surely you know the status of statutory guidance? Surely you understand it’s not law? And that if it’s blocked the law will simply remain the law? Incredible if not.
Deeply shocking that MPs* hold equality & human rights in such contempt that all they can offer is this performative, myopic & determinedly ill-informed scrutiny of the hard work of the @EHRC

The point is that 'terfs'/gender criticals/sex realists have never smashed up or vandalised offices and conference centres and never physically attacked any TRAs despite extreme provocation. Violent angry porn addled men are not the same as determined, law abiding, intelligent women. It has never been both sides.
"Threats from transgender activists have forced the equalities watchdog to move offices, its chair has revealed. Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson said that the EHRC had been forced to relocate after its headquarters was targeted by a group previously linked to attacks on a women’s conference and MPs’ offices." But #BothSides (?) https://t.co/73GDg6bqsK
It's the 5 year anniversary of being worthy of respect in a democratic society ☺️
(Thanks @MrMennoTweets for the cake and the forthcoming podcast)
Fear is contagious, but so is courage.
Freedom of speech is so important. Use it or lose it!
🎊 It’s five years since @MForstater’s tribunal win established that gender-critical beliefs are #WorthyOfRespect. It’s the most important free-speech win of the past decade. It’s been cited in many legal cases, and protected many people from unlawful belief discrimination.

Female police officers should never be expected to search men who say they are women.
We’re in court on 16th June, standing up for officers whose forces think unlawful searches can be allowed “by consent”.
Will you support our legal challenge?

The Cleveland Clinic settled with the State of Ohio and USDOJ Friday after an investigation revealed they mis-coded Medicaid billing to disguise transgender procedures on minors.
They agreed to halt of procedures for 20 years, and funding $2 million and transitioning care.
Even among students (exposed to so much propaganda and peer pressure on this issue), a decisive majority disagree with males using women's changing rooms (and vice versa).
Great to see the question asked really clearly by @HEPI_news (so often not the case in polling this topic).
Interesting given that universities' failure to uphold EA2010 seems to be driven by fear of (perceived) student opinion. Yet this polling demonstrates that most students quietly disagree with their activist/NUS peers.
I'd love to see further breakdown of the numbers, e.g. Russell Group vs other students @nickhillman
Now that Michael Foran’s lectures are to be rescheduled, we can make up the balance. What did the activists achieve?
— They have ensured that far more people will attend the final lectures and watch those available on video than before their antics;
— They have cemented the impression that “trans rights activists” are intolerant and unwilling to engage in debates;
— Their behaviour will now lead to a well-overdue reassessment of Oxford’s policy on protests.
Well done, chaps!
@Malcolm1E@joannaccherry@CommonsWEC Men benefit from the same single-sex exceptions too; they need privacy, not to have women in their single-sex spaces. If they want to have intimate care from another man rather than a woman, that’s also fine.
Watching the @CommonsWEC taking evidence from the EHRC this afternoon, it seems that most of the MPs on the committee are not concerned with women’s, LGB or disability rights nor indeed any other protected characteristic. Just ill informed virtue signalling on trans rights.
Great Thunderer piece in @thetimes -
"Don’t be fooled that radical trans activism is over"
With interesting comments from Lib Dem members and ex-Lib Dem members saying they left over this issue. However according to Party bigwigs that doesn't happen. https://t.co/o0kLuH75Q2
