@headlinepg Never post on here anymore, but as you don't seem to use your Threads account anymore, I've come here to say:
Please tell your editors and proofreaders that passed and past are not the same word. I BEG. Because if I see it once more: insanity.
Don't normally use Twitter anymore because: Elon. I'm only back to say I won't be using @sainsburys anymore, either. Advertising on GB News? Forget it.
Ironically, I'd just gone over to Sainsbury's from Morrisons (constant subs, OOS, terrible packing). I'll solely use @Tesco now.
@electra_rhodes Walk away and let it breathe 😊. And/or - counterintuitively - start afresh, without looking at the original.
This strategy has worked for me. It refocuses me on what I'm trying to say rather than the word spaghetti I've produced, and my brain tends to reproduce the best bits.
Really, really dismayed to see that @marksandspencer are advertising on the racist and anti-LGBT+ @GBNEWS. Get your act together, M&S, otherwise I’ll be taking my custom elsewhere.
@orlandofreak @Dr_BellaR I hear you. But I diagnosed my FiL's Parkinson's Disease, which is more than his 'qualified GP' did. I say this not to big up my fading, dated skills as an ex-Snr Pharm Tech, but to show that eliminating PAs doesn't eliminate quacks. His diagnosis? Mythical 'Old Man's Shake'. 😡
Does @YouGov *ever* answer emails from the people who help it provide its data, or should I just give up waiting??
I've had a Connections issue for weeks. Emailed twice. Nowt. Why even bother having an email address?
Anyone else have a problem with the @YouGov Safe extension? I've happily used it for ages to download Netflix, Disney and Prime data, but Apple is a nope. I've emailed them but never got a response. It always says I'm not logged in (yes I am) or I don't have a subscription (I do)
Congratulations to @BrightVerity and A Midwinter Murder which broke into the UK Top 100 chart yesterday at #98!!! 🙌🥳

@Jason2295396699@sharrond62 Too far? Having 2 Christmas events out of 60 with a female mythical Claus figure is too far... for what, exactly?
Next up: National Trust says unicorns are just horses with a horn stuck on. They've gone too far! 🤦
It's the lies from @BritishGas that I've found most difficult. Again and again I've held off going to the @EnergyOmbudsman because they said it was sorted. Nearly 2 and a half years later, with payments I don't owe taken from my account by a DD I didn't sign; it's not. Disgrace.
@AlisonRunham@BritishGas They sent me a cheque in mums name also! To the address that had already been sold. Then said they needed to restart the DD to refund. Then multiple lies about when the new cheque was coming. Couldn’t make it up 🥺 if it wasn’t so distressing it would be laughable
@AlisonRunham@BritishGas@guardian This is appalling - the service to bereaved family members is non existent. Too many folk having the exact same terrible experience. @BritishGas you need to sort this
@sg06011949@BritishGas@guardian They very much do! How difficult is it to change the name and address on an account, wait for final meter readings, then send a bill or cheque for debit/credit?
In August 2022, my Mum died. I told @BritishGas immediately. Over the last 2 years & 3 months, I've been in an ongoing battle with them (for clarity: her account was in credit). I can't even bear to go into detail, but it's beyond belief. Insensitive, incompetent. Ombudsman time
@sg06011949@BritishGas@SouthernWater 2/2 - address, waited for the final meter reading, credited me. The same few simple steps @BritishGas had to do, yet with them: train wreck. Everyone else I dealt with: great (shout out to @Santander and @virginmedia for excellent bereavement response - quick and sensitive).
@sg06011949@BritishGas 1/2 Yep. Exactly the same. What is going on there?? One of their replies - posted after my entire 2+ year tale of misery - asked, on a scale of 0 to 10, if I'd recommend British Gas! Very obviously, 0! @SouthernWater changed to account name, started sending the paperwork to my-
@sg06011949@BritishGas 2/2 - I was going to shred all the paperwork! And now they're trying to deduct money for a day in January that they'd not billed before, when I'd sold the house! 🤦
I hate to say this, but don't hold your breath. I could paper my walls with the promises they've made.
@sg06011949@BritishGas 1/2 It's just shocking. It took me months of calls just to get the initial refund (and then longer to get a refund that wasn't a cheque in my late Mum's name!). I thought it was all over then - and funnily enough, only noticed payments had been going out of my account on the day-
