@lucizzobrizz Similar motivations, similar challenges, similar timelines. I’m definitely guilty of doing it as a snotty, contrarian adolescent, but it feels like behaviour that should be grown out of rather than reinforced.
@lucizzobrizz Particularly when they have so much in common! Years of practice to turn a skill into a profession, working with others who’ve done the same (collaboratively or competitively) to entertain an audience, or practising recreationally for personal fulfillment, or any level between.
@lucizzobrizz I find it genuinely baffling when someone objects to ‘obscenity’ but not violence. Surely swearing (as distinct from hate speech) and sexual content (as distinct from sexually violent/exploitative content) should be less objectionable‽
@BeingCharisBlog Mine only made themselves known by name in my twenties, but I now know they’ve been around for a while, which explains why stuff kept mysteriously going missing when I was younger…
@travismcelroy I’m Alix! I write and sing custom a cappella songs for people. No one has commissioned a personal theme song yet, but I live in hope.
Also sometimes I do parodies: https://t.co/gLX8b3usxh
@djrobstep @platoscave12@JessLetsGo@tanya_plibersek So we should change an already imperfect system for the worse so that it emulates a different system that is also imperfect?
@djrobstep @JessLetsGo@tanya_plibersek That doesn’t make super and healthcare analogous. If your suggestion is to rely entirely on individual healthcare savings, it leaves young people, unemployed people, underemployed people and a significant % of disabled people without access.
