Adults who have a peanut allergy can reduce their sensitivity to peanuts so they no longer become life threatening.
In the first study on adults with life-long allergies @kingsmedicine, 2/3 of participants could eat the equivalent of 5 peanuts by the end. 1/2
I found a child’s violin in the back of a Zipcar in south London yesterday. The customer care people didn’t seem all that concerned so I took it home. I would love to reunite it with its owner if I can. The name tag says Isobel Lopez. Can Twitter help? Please share! #lostviolin

@andrewallergy@foodallergyuk@BDA_FASG We often find red/ pink apples better tolerated and golden delicious the worst! Also depends on ripeness- the birch cross reactive proteins increase with age so an older apple will be worse. More likely to react in pollen season too!

The best news that I have received today - The BSG/BSPGHAN Guidelines on Eosinophilic Oesophagitis have been accepted for publication in GUT. Huge moment for all of us on the Guideline development group who have worked through the pandemic to deliver. @BritSocGastro@CharityEos
Always great to hear @PaedDietitian present. Fantastic overview on ARFID with very clear distinction from 'picky eating'. The 'hunger is good sauce' method doesn't work...they will just not eat. #WAOBSACI2022
@AllergicToDiets shares the interesting data on an adult peanut desensitisation trial. A significant reduction in "fear of foods" was one of the secondary end points. #WAOBSACI2022@BDA_FASG
