Three days after Brian Kilmeade and @FoxNews advocate for the murder of homeless people, right-wing extremists shoot up two homeless camps in Minn. https://t.co/sQ3CmUd0ug
@LauraLoomer@CurtisSliwa No serious person thinks Trump is the best president ever. Plenty of people seriously believe it, but they aren’t serious people.
So this is a weird spot to be in… as an atheist, I obviously don’t believe in heaven or hell, or god. As a former evangelical, with a Masters of Divinity, having worked in full-time ministry, it bothers me that Christians have their theology so wrong. No, according to Christian doctrine, Trump is almost certainly not getting into heaven, if it existed.
🚨 JUST IN - PRESIDENT TRUMP: "I don't think there's anything that's gonna get me in heaven. I really don't. I think I'm not, maybe, heaven-bound."
"I may be in heaven right now as we fly in Air Force One. I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to make heaven. But I've made life better for a lot of people." 🙏
@Duddy__Kravitz@mattgaetz Show me a city that was completely leveled in the Middle East or Afghanistan. How many women and children were killed in the Middle East and Afghanistan? When the US does evil, we call it out. When Israel does evil, as they have in Gaza, we call it what it is. Evil.
@TinyFullHaus@TilEulenspeigel@mattgaetz They can’t and won’t. It’s like when Ted Cruz told Tucker Carlson that he’d complained about “the Jews” when he has said no such thing. They hear any criticism of Israel that they don’t like as antisemitism.
@SmithMDMD@SDAFS56788141@DivinelyDesined Right. In the single celled organism, the photoreceptor triggers the motion of their flagella.
The cell is capable of surviving and reproducing without the photoreceptors, but the ability to perceive light can increase those chances, and can thus be selected for.
No, I’m saying he can explain all of those things as well as the Elf on the Shelf can.
It’s very easy to explain everything with “God did it,” but it’s meaningless, and not much of an explanation.
Evolution has explanatory power because it can explain, with good evidence, what we see around us.
Haha, that’s adding context where you need it to be, without relying on the text itself.
Gen 2 says very clearly: “When no bush of the field was yet in the land (or open country) and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up—for the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the land (or earth)”, God created man.
The truth is that Genesis 1 and 2 were written by two different authors at two different times, with two different understandings of the creation.
