@Cerenz I think the debate furthers what we already know: context matters and forcing teachers to teach in a way that is inauthentic to their style and expertise doesn’t result in effective teaching or learning.

@Cerenz The most recent piece I read in criticism of it cites a parent survey expressing disappointment as the main evidence against using the method. I don’t see that as necessarily valuable research.
