Foley best of the Irish at European amateur
Hugh Foley finished the week at 18 under par for the four rounds in Estonia which gave him a share of 4th place, Hugh had missed out on a spot on the upcoming Six man team heading to the European team championship earlier in the week leaving the off course disappointment behind he would kick on with what was in his control and return a great week on the course.
Mark Power picked up a T14 finish this week at 15 under in the low scoring affair
Max Kennedy also made the cut and his 8 under total seen him finish the week in T50
Very impressive performance by these two Irish lads who traveled to an one off event outside their comfort zone and are playing off in the final. @USGA@GolfIreland_
Don’t pour that Guinness just yet!
3 straight birdies by Hugh Foley has cut Matthew McClean’s lead to 2 down with 3 to go.

Only two players are now in with a chance of winning the 2022 Men's #BridgestoneTours Order of Merit
Hugh Foley and Matt McClean can both win the title this week at the #AIGClose, but Foley can do so as early as Round 3 tomorrow
It’s not a tournament, it’s a reunion. Of fathers and sons, and their sons…
It’s Waterville, it’s mass at the Mass Hole, it honoring the past, celebrating the present, and telling the story of David and Hugh Foley, F&S royalty who’s bond lives on through the fraternity of golf.
@GolfIreland_ This is how it should be. The north & south double is a huge achievement and was done this month for the first time since Darren Clarke in 1990.
There was only one man everyone wanted a photo with today!
James Nesbitt got to meet North of Ireland champion Hugh Foley after the Royal Dublin golfer won at @RoyalPortrush today
@ohanloncmr We are so grateful for all the kind words being said about my lovely Dad ❤️ it brings some comfort to see how much he was loved by all who met him
This is one of the saddest days of my life. A great great friend, Prof David Foley, a mentor to me and many others has passed away. He was larger than life, a true icon in cardiology, a great husband and father to his children.
