You can turn any iPhone into a "dumb phone".
Strip out distractions. Keep what matters. And switch back whenever you need.
Here’s how to do it using Focus Mode + Shortcuts (in under 5 minutes):
People get busier as they get older, they work on more projects, they have more money, but also forget how to appreciate the things that don't cost any money: learning for the sake of intellectual curiosity, building for the sake of growing as a person, loving for its own sake.
True wealth isn't a number you measure, it's the connections you nurture, it's a lifestyle you experience, it's the portfolio that you no longer need to watch, it's the worries that are behind, it's the serenity that comes from knowing that every day is deeply meaningful.
@Claudiashein Sra. Presidenta inspirado por la clase de inteligencia emocional que le está enseñando al mundo con la gracia con la que está navegando la situación con USA. Le mando mis respetos y admiración.
“Whenever you think that some situation or some person is ruining your life, it’s actually you who are ruining your life. It’s such a simple idea. Feeling like a victim is a perfectly disastrous way to make go through life.”
— Charlie Munger
1/ I finally read Leopold Aschenbrenner's essay series on AI: Situational Awareness
Everyone, regardless of your interest in AI, should read this.
I took notes, they're sloppy but figured I'd share.
Welcome to the future:
I see way too much emphasis on what people do for morning routines, and not nearly enough on what people do at night.
Here's the real personal growth habit that no one's talking about:
@heydrtab@hubermanlab Yes, but in general is not good for anyone no matter your age. Plus, we are here on X talking about this. In a world where you band social media for yourself what would be your alternatives to discover new ideas and people?
@thelightphone I really enjoyed reading this manifesto https://t.co/8SZN06uxo0 I see what you're doing to help through product development. But what are you opting "not to do" to get the light phone discovered? I'm fine-tuning how to be a responsible marketer.
@NotionStatus I have app installed in work Macbook w/ Intel chip and it works great. Got new personal MacBook w/ M2 chip and I don’t see app in System Settings under Notifications. So I can’t disable badge count or customize notifications. Any fixes available?
@Meta I was offered a call with a Meta Pro, so I booked a slot. Then I get 3+ email notifications that my call is coming. At the time of the call, I got a confirmation of my call for another day. Looks like someone didn't show up and re-scheduled me. Bad experience.
