Yesterday we had the privilege of judging the startup pitch competition at @techtides_hq Belfast — ten companies, two sessions, and a genuinely high bar across the board.

Congratulations to Mirality, deserved winners. In a field where nearly every team led with AI, Mirality stood out for the right reasons: a real platform solving a real operational problem, a clear-eyed go-to-market, and a pitch that held up under questioning. We're looking forward to working with the team as they scale, and to helping them build the funding capacity to execute at the speed this opportunity demands.

The wider point: the standard on that stage says something about where Northern Ireland is heading. A serious cohort of technical founders, building substantive companies, in front of an audience that turned out in numbers. That ecosystem doesn't happen by accident — it's built by the people willing to back it early.
