I think the positioning of Sol, Terra, and Luna is good. But the different reasoning levels, make things confusing because it is unclear which ones consume more/less of the usage limit.
We have these levels:
• Light
• Medium
• High
• Xhigh
Then there is Ultra, which is not even a reasoning level but can be switched where you normally switch the resoning level (understandable that many users think its a reasoning level)
Different models at different reasoning levels can perform at roughly similar intelligence levels while consuming very different amounts of our usage limits. Please make that distinction clear.
Efficiency relative to intelligence is important, but for consumers, besides of the models intelligence is the factor: how much of our usage limit does each model and reasoning-level combination actually consume?
Having to experiment to find the best balance between intelligence and usage is so ironic because guess what, the testing itself drains our usage limit.
Competition among AI labs to make their models not only more intelligent, but also more usable by offering limits that last longer than hours/days, is the right direction!
