Federal courts handle disputes between states, federal law/constitutional issues, maritime cases, international matters, and civil cases over a certain dollar amount when parties are from different states. State courts handle everything arising under state constitutions and state law.

There is not and will not be a "marriage." There is an appellate system with the Supreme Court serving as the ultimate arbiter.

Last time the NCAA was before the Supreme Court, it lost 9-0 (NCAA v. Alston).
