The United States of America has been Kenya’s true ally in healthcare — from infrastructure, pioneering research to the tackling of infectious diseases. We intend to escalate this journey of partnership, including the local manufacturing of vaccines, for the prosperity of all.
Shared our thoughts on transforming the U.S.-Kenya health cooperation at the Centre for Disease Control Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America.
By the way, what do I stand to gain as a Kikuyu if my tribesmen are at the top or in charge of parastatals? I saw Gathoni Wamuchomba crying that over 270 Kikuyus were removed from various parastatals and replaced by other tribes! For instance, if the CEO of Safaricom is a Kikuyu, am I getting airtime at a cheaper price than Luhyas or Luos?
In any case, Kikuyus have had three presidents: Uhuru Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki, and Jomo Kenyatta. What did I get from them being there? Why do we have some Kikuyus living in squalor? Why do we still have some Kikuyus sleeping on empty stomachs?
You're tribesman being at the top is useless.

"I saw you on Youtube" words from Steve Harvey. Thank you Mr President for this honourable connection, meeting Steve Harvey Has been a dream for the past 14 years today it became a reality. We had great conversations on how to equip and train talents for business success in showbiz it is show and business and I'm happy our creatives are factored in this conversations.
President William Ruto today visited Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of his itinerary during his visit to the United States.
The studio, built to empower and support African-American talents is one of the largest film studios in America as it sits on 330-acres of land that formerly housed a US military installation, the Fort McPherson army base which was closed in 2011. It is the first studio of such magnitude built by an individual in America; even the most prominent film studios you know like Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers and Disney were built through collaboration of several people/entities, with 4 brothers creating the Warner Studios while Disney was created by the Walt and Disney duo.
The Tyler Perry Studios feature a total of 30 sets which include a 3-floor replica of the White House, a strip mall, an airport terminal, a golf course, a county jail, a chapel, classic dinner, farmhouse and two baseball fields. It also features 12 sound stages measuring between 10,000-38,500 square feet and are named after iconic stars like Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Oprah Winfrey and Wil Smith.
Film studios are one of the key if not the key business in the American film ecosystem. Owning a studio is a big deal in Hollywood as it provides the infrastructure and technology required to produce content such as movies and TV shows. Owning a studio also creates an opportunity be contracted to undertake production of movies and shows and make good money.
Film studios rake in billions of dollars in revenues annually with leading studios like Sony, Warner Bros, Walt Disney and Universal Pictures earning revenues of between $3-9B annually, underscoring the commercial viability of such ventures.
Investing in film production through studios like Tyler Perry’s could be one of the ways through which the creative space in Kenya can be supported so that the sector becomes commercially lucrative and attract investment.
During today’s visit, President Ruto met with Steve Harvey, a well-known American television host, producer, actor, and comedian, along with a delegation from Tyler Perry Studios. The meeting aimed to discuss a potential collaborative partnership between Tyler Perry Studios and Kenya in the media, entertainment, and creative industries, with a goal to position Kenya as a regional leader and global powerhouse in these sectors.
Following this visit, it is expected that the president, who made the Creative Economy a key campaign plank, has learnt critical lessons and derived novel ideas necessary to forge valuable relationships/partnerships to transform our film industry so that one day it becomes as successful as the US film and TV industry, that is valued at $800 billion, supports 2.7 million people and 122,000 businesses, and pays $242 billion in wages every year.
It would also be the expectation of Kenyans in this sector that the president upon going back to the country, will task officers serving in his government to come up with a package of incentives to stimulate innovation, engender commercial viability, and attract investments into this space. This will ensure that Kenya does not continue to lose opportunities in film to South Africa which has a more advanced, developed, and incentivized film industry making it the darling of both regional and global investors willing to spend top dollar.

Joined other worshippers at AIC Milimani, Nairobi, where I took the opportunity to call on Kenyans to keenly observe traffic rules to keep our roads safe.
As a Ministry we are doing everything possible, including the privatization of motor vehicle inspection, installation of speed cameras and getting NTSA to crack down on unroadworthy vehicles and irresponsible motorists. In the end, however, it is really the behaviour of drivers that will make all the difference.
