The same chronic illness doesn’t necessarily mean the same experience.
Many chronic illnesses scale in terms of severity.
Many people with the same chronic illness have different symptoms.
Different chronically ill people have different types and levels of support.
I’m working on applying for disability and all the paperwork is so stressful and I keep having flashbacks from when I first applied years ago and had a panic attack at the hearing 😭
Disability isn’t scary, “Ableism Is Scary”

Please know that if someone can't work due to a chronic illness or disability that's not a good thing. It's not living your best life and enjoying your free time. It's actually giving up on career dreams and having no financial stability. Please don't glorify it because it sucks.
👩🏻Me: I really need to sleep!
🧠Brain: No! We must keep rehearsing this future conversation so you don’t forget to say any of it when the time comes!
Me: 😫🤦🏻♀️
My body is so tired and in pain. After doing all that work for fumigation and in this insufferable heat I literally feel like 😵🪦💀 The fact that the fumigation didn’t work makes me want to cry. It was all for nothing and now we have to put everything back 😭
I had to put so much of my care on hold because of the pandemic. My health def got worse. Now that I started seeing drs again it’s an uphill battle with everything.
1. What medical care have you delayed during the ongoing pandemic?
2. How has this impacted your life?
3. At what point will you feel safe getting the medical care you've delayed?
Also, because of this I had to reschedule my appointment with my new psych and will now have to wait a couple more weeks be to seen 😭 It’s really frustrating. -sigh-
So we were given a little over a day to have our apt ready for a fumigation by the owner. Everything needs to be bagged and moved to the center of the room. A very physical task for us. My mom is almost 60 has bad rheumatoid arthritis, lupus /cont…
And still has to work today. Her boyfriend is 55+ and has cancer and is on chemo, and then me with my hEDS and fibro… I’m not even half done with my room and my body is already giving out. How this is going to get done before 9am idk. Wish us luck. 😭
