مرشد! وہ شخص جس نے اپنی جوانی، اپنی شہرت، اپنا سکون، اپنی فیملی، اپنی صحت، حتیٰ کہ اپنی آزادی تک اس قوم کے نام کر دی، آج قیدِ تنہائی کی تاریکیوں میں ہماری راہ تک رہا ہے۔ عمران خان کے جسم کو دیواروں کے پیچھے قید کیا جا سکتا ہے مگر اس کے خوابوں کو نہیں۔ افسوس یہ ہے کہ ظالموں کے ظلم سے زیادہ اپنی قوم کی خاموشی دل کو زخمی کرتی ہے۔ یہ اکتوبر کا مہینہ ہماری غیرت، وفا اور ضمیر کا امتحان ہے۔ اگر آج بھی ہم خوف کا بت نہ توڑ سکے تو آنے والی نسلیں پوچھیں گی کہ جب قیدی نمبر 804 تنہا تھا، تب تم کہاں تھے؟ اس سوال کا جواب شاید ہماری آنکھوں کے آنسو بھی نہ دے سکیں گے۔ دل یہ ماننے کو تیار نہیں کہ ایک کروڑوں دلوں کی دھڑکن، ایک قوم کی امید اور ایک نظریے کا علمبردار یوں بے خبر اور لاپتہ ہو جائے اور قوم معمولاتِ زندگی میں مگن رہے۔
