She was thought to have gone to MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and was a nuclear scientist by US intelligence agencies, CIA / FBI.

This faulty information, plus the fact she was vocal in speaking against the genocide of European Bosnian Muslims, made her a target.

20 years later her lawyer, Clive Stafford Smith managed to get the FBI agent who came up with the faulty "intelligence" to admit he was wrong. Yet she is still languishing in prison unjustly.
