We are so excited to be a community partner today @TheCityClub listening to @daveisay of @StoryCorps - stories are so impactful - we listen, honor, & share these stories.
@daviedaily @TheBuckeyeFlame@ThinkPlexus 100% agree and so does the leadership of Plexus! This is the work we have in front of us. How to get more LGBT businesses on the registry so we can make a solid case for adding LGBT as a certification in the @CityofCleveland
“What we want is to slow down, so people can tell us who they are, so we can treat them how they want to be treated.” 💡💯 One of my favorite quotes from Amanda Cole of @ThinkPlexus during the LGBTQIA+ #inclusivity training of @getpantheon’s Pridetheon #Community Celebration 🌈
BREAKING: In the final week of Pride Month, two LGBTQ+ centers in Ohio experienced major vandalism to their property, one with a spray-painted racist slur.

@ProjectNoirCLE did amazing work bringing forward the voices of Black women in Cleveland surviving in a city labeled the worst for their viability. Thankful to see some steps being taken by council
Last night at City Council, legislation was introduced to establish a Black Women's Commission.
This is long overdue. In 2020, we were last in @CityLab's rankings of the worst large cities for Black women to live in.
I am committed to ensuring that this legislation passes.

@MikeLoychik You grew up being taught about experiences, families, and relationships that were cisgender and heterosexual. These are natural topics and aspects of curriculum. Why are you making an issue when there is none? Why can't children read books or learn about a family like mine?
The Don’t Say Gay bill introduced by the Ohio statehouse yesterday is divisive, copycat legislation and a discriminatory excuse to cut funding to our public education system. No child or teacher should have a target on their back. https://t.co/LQC41qh2G8
Do you think corporate pledges of support to resist these anti LBGTQ bills make any difference to the struggles in states? Alana Jochum of @EqualityOhio says in a conservative state from her, it is very important and does have an impact. @ThinkPlexus#ClassACTHR73Forum
@Local12 Everyone has a gender identity. Everyone has a sexual orientation. This includes straight, cisgender people. It is not a topic we can avoid in raising and educating children. LGBTQ people are not the problem, discrimination and censorship are.
What a great time last night hosting Young Professionals at the FIT office!
