Imran Khan has told his sons over the phone that he has permanently lost vision in his right eye and it cannot be restored. Doctors at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences informed him of permanent vision lost after a medical check up. He advised his sons not to be stressed about this.

We have received reports that Imran Khan was again taken to PIMS in the early hours of 15 June. We found out through a tweet by Barrister Gohar on the morning of 15 June.

We reject any medical report generated by PIMS regarding Imran Khan’s condition. The same institution has previously made questionable claims, including the assertion that Imran Khan had recovered 90% of his eyesight. Imran Khan himself rejected these claims when his lawyer later met him at Adiala Jail.

A fundamental question remains unanswered: Why does Imran Khan require a fifth injection?

We do not accept the government’s version of events. We demand that Imran Khan be examined and treated by independent, qualified specialists at Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad. This is an urgent and immediate priority.

A full bench court order permits six family members to meet Imran Khan every Tuesday. Yet over the past eight months, the authorities have largely violated this order. My sister, Dr. Uzma Khan, has only been allowed to meet him a few times, and her last meeting took place on 2 December, 2025.

We reject the government’s continued use of isolation and deprivation as tools of pressure against Imran Khan. Today, we expect all six family members to be allowed to meet him in accordance with the court’s order.

The denial of Imran Khan’s rights is not merely a political issue; it is a clear violation of both the jail manual and High Court orders.

According to the jail manual, Imran Khan is entitled to:

1. A weekly telephone call with his sons.
2. A weekly meeting with family members.
3. A weekly meeting with his legal counsel.
4. Access to books and reading material.
5. Access to television and newspapers.
6. Access to proper medical treatment and regular medical check-ups.
7. Notification to immediate family members before any medical procedure is carried out.

In addition, High Court full bench orders provide that:

1. Imran Khan must be allowed to speak with his sons by telephone.
2. Six family members and six lawyers may meet him every Tuesday.
3. Six friends, including party representatives, may meet him every Thursday.

We demand the immediate restoration of all of Imran Khan’s lawful rights as a prisoner, with access to independent and professional medical treatment in presence of family as the highest and most urgent priority.

Dr Yasmin Rashid was with us at the Kot Lakhpat jail trial till 6pm today despite her old age, deteriorating health and the hot weather as yet another jail trial is reaching conclusion.

Her 84 year old husband, Rashed Nabi Malik Sb, was also present as he always is to support his wife.

Courts need to consider her suspension and appeal applications soon and authorities need to consider shifting her to a good hospital.

It’s been more than three years that she has been incarcerated despite her age, health and other factors all being in favour of her being granted bail earlier (and now suspension of sentence on the same grounds).

اڈیالہ کے دروازے پر انصاف کا انتظار۔!!

آج ایک بار پھر یہ خبر سامنے آئی کہ بشریٰ بی بی کی فیملی کو اڈیالہ جیل کے باہر طویل انتظار کے باوجود ملاقات کی اجازت نہیں دی گئی۔ سوال یہ ہے کہ اگر کسی قیدی سے ملاقات اس کا قانونی اور بنیادی حق ہے تو بار بار اس عمل کو اتنا مشکل کیوں بنایا جا رہا ہے؟
شدید گرمی میں گھنٹوں انتظار کروانا، ملاقات سے انکار کرنا، اور اہلِ خانہ کی جانب سے لایا گیا سامان بھی واپس کر دینا ایسے اقدامات ہیں جو کئی سنجیدہ سوالات کو جنم دیتے ہیں۔ افسوس کی بات یہ ہے کہ جب کبھی ایک ملاقات ہو جائے تو اسے نمایاں انداز میں ہر جگہ پیش کیا جاتا ہے، لیکن جب یہی خاندان مایوسی اور بے بسی کے ساتھ واپس لوٹتا ہے تو اس پہلو پر میڈیا مکمل خاموشی اختیار کر لیتا ہے۔
اختلافِ رائے اپنی جگہ، مگر بنیادی انسانی حقوق اور اہلِ خانہ کے ساتھ باعزت اور منصفانہ رویہ ہر صورت یقینی بنایا جانا چاہیے۔ قانون اور انصاف کا تقاضا بھی یہی ہے کہ تمام شہریوں کے ساتھ یکساں سلوک کیا جائے۔
بشریٰ بی بی ایک غیر سیاسی خاتون ہیں، اور ان کا خاندان ہمیشہ پردے، وقار اور شائستگی کے دائرے میں رہا ہے۔ نہ وہ سوشل میڈیا پر مہم چلاتے ہیں، نہ ٹی وی چینلز پر جا کر بیانات دیتے ہیں۔ اس کے باوجود اگر انہیں بار بار ملاقاتوں سے محروم رکھا جا رہا ہے، گھنٹوں انتظار کروایا جا رہا ہے اور خالی ہاتھ واپس بھیجا جا رہا ہے تو یہ نہایت تشویشناک اور افسوسناک صورتحال ہے۔
مزید افسوس اس بات کا ہے کہ اس معاملے پر میڈیا اور انسانی حقوق کے علمبرداروں کی اکثریت خاموش دکھائی دیتی ہے۔ اگر اہلِ خانہ کو قانونی اور بنیادی حقوق کے حصول میں رکاوٹوں کا سامنا ہے تو یہ انصاف، قانون اور انسانی وقار کے اصولوں کی خلاف ورزی ہے، یہ ایک کھلا ظلم اور بے حسی ہیں، اور ان کے خلاف آواز اٹھانا ہر انصاف پسند اور باشعور شہری کی ذمہ داری ہے۔

جب گلگت ،کشمیر اور بلوچستان کو پاکستان سے توڑنے کا ارادہ پکا کر ہی لیا ہے تو بقیہ پاکستان کے لیے دریاؤں ،پانی اور گیس کا بھی انتظام کر لیں ۔۔۔کیونکہ آج نہی تو کل ،گلگتی، بلوچی ،کشمیری اقوام متحدہ میں علیحدگی کی قرارداد لے جائیں گے تجربہ کاروں کے مظالم کی فہرست لمبی ہوتی جا رہی ہے ۔۔۔
