For decades church attendance was positively related to interpersonal trust.

People who were more religiously active were more likely to say that "people can be trusted."

However, in the last couple of years that has reversed.

Now high attending people are less trusting.

@jdjmke Do you know how to find a US map that shows voting patterns by country with percentages, indicated by degrees of purple? I know someone who saw a 2008 map of this sort once. It would be useful to see the complexity of the elecorate's complexion (vs. red-blue states)
