For the first time in its history, Germany - a founding member of the International Criminal Court - openly embraces an #ICC suspect, wanted on charges of, among other things, using the starvation of civilian as a weapon of war.
This is how villagers are taught a life-saving techniques to shield themselves from the junta regime's relentless airstrikes in Magway division of Myanmar's western region.
With every building, including schools, vulnerable to these devastating attacks, it is imperative for everyone to act decisively. At the first sound of approaching aircraft, all individuals—whether at home or in school—must swiftly dash to the designated tunnels for protection.

Another civilian target bombed by SAC jets, this time a packed school in south-central Sagaing. Schools, health clinics, IDP camps, villages; if it's civilian infrastructure, safe to say it's on a SAC air force targeting list. The depravity continues. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
Must read by @calebquinley:
"Civilians noticed a helicopter in the distance. Hope surged. The group wondered: Maybe it is a rescue team, maybe help has finally arrived. Exhausted and desperate, they ran toward it.
But the helicopter wasn’t there to save them. It opened fire."
Remember every one of these leaders happy to shake hands with a man whose army rapes kids, commits genocide, bombs schools and hospitals, and is totally corrupt. This isn't pragmatism or diplomacy, it means they have no red lines, no principles at all.

The junta openly admitting now to attacking aid workers.
“We attempted to stop the convoy, but they refused to stop. After that, we fired warning shots from about 100 meters away, and we understand they fled back,” said a junta spokesperson.

A reminder that there is an arrest warrant for Min Aung Hlaing to face questions about his role in Rohingya genocide. Every leader willing to attend this summit with him present is telling us what they think about international law, human rights, and justice.
Survivors mourn loved ones in the streets, with monks offering blessings. They've lost not just their families but also their homes, leaving no place for proper burials.

The military junta has conducted 11 air and artillery strikes across the country following the #earthquake on March 28. It declared a State of Emergency in Sagaing Region, the epicenter, as well as Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Naypyidaw and Shan State. @DVB_English#Myanmar
There have been reports from ground saying junta officials are not allowing locals to take records of the ruins.
Why is #Sagaing met with restrictions? Is it because they want to rescue Naypyidaw first? Is it because they’re continuing to bomb the region?
Immediate update: NUG's Humanitarian Ministry releases initial report on earthquake damage. We are working to assess & respond. March 29, 2025. #MyanmarRelief#EmergencyResponse
The situation in #Mandalay, #Burma (#Myanmar) is extremely underreported. I ran barefoot from the 25th floor in #Bangkok, but that’s nothing compared to what people in Mandalay face! Check the link below for real on-the-ground footage and news that English media often overlook!
We appreciate all the nations and international organizations including the @UN for your solidarity and support to #Myanmar's citizens affected by horrible #earthquake.
We call for the Int'l community to increase the urgent assistance financially and technically to our people.
"Only in one township alone, we have retrieved 204 dead bodies. Most of them are government staffs. The ones buried under the buildings were only removed this morning. We are doing it slowly" said a rescue worker in Zabuthiri Township.
