The Kaybob gas plant in Fox Creek, where I worked for 6 years, had its own locomotive to pull unit trains through the sulphur plant.
It's a GMDH-1, which is an experimental diesel hydraulic switcher locomotive built in Canada by General Motors in the 1950s. It's one of four General Motors Diesel Hydraulic-1 locomotives ever built and the only one still in operating condition.
It just got sold to Southern Prairie Railway in Saskatchewan. It stands as one of the rarest locomotives in North America and a unique piece of Canadian rail and energy industry history.

How the fuck did he pass his Class A license if he can’t understand English?
Are they being taught in Punjabi? Is the written portion of the test not in English?
One of these has 3300 hrs and needs new fuel injectors at $3500 EACH, the other has 33,000 hours and will run reliably for another 75 years on literally anything resembling diesel fuel.
Had to repost this !
This is how a Canadian icon and patriot’s career was destroyed by a media source overcome with a woke ideology !!
Who still supports Don ?!
Canadians pay:
Income Tax
Sales Tax
Carbon Tax
Property Tax
Fuel Tax
Booze Tax
User Fee Tax
Tax on Tax
50%+ of income
And taxes continue to rise….While quality of services decline
At what level of tax will 🇨🇦 revolt or crumble?
CANADA IS SO FUCKIN STUPID TO TOLERATE THIS!
Trudeau's been working hard for 8 years to screw up the country, so fixing things will be hard. Pierre has a simple plan.
1) Cut the carbon tax
2) Reduce income taxes
3) Stop wasteful spending and balance the budget
4) Reduce the bureaucracy and red tape.
I'd like him to add a few more items that will have quick wins.
5) Dramatically reduce immigration
6) eliminate laws that are restricting resource development
7) Stay our of provincial jurisdiction
What else do you folks think he should do?
Liberal fraud & corruption.
Three contractors are bidding to repair a fence at the Parliament Buildings. One is from Montreal, another from Winnipeg and the third is from Vancouver.
All three go with a public works official to examine the fence and see what needs to be done.
The Vancouver contractor takes out a tape measure, does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well" he says, "I estimate the job will run about $9,000. That's $4,000 for materials, $4,000 for my crew and $1,000 profit for me."
The Winnipeg contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $7,000. That's $3,000 for materials, $3,000 for my crew and $1,000 profit for me".
The Montreal contractor takes no measurement and does no estimating, but leans over to the government official and whispers, "$27,000." The government official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys. How did you come up with such a high figure?
The Montreal contractor whispers back, "$10,000 for me, $10,000 for you, and we hire the guy from Winnipeg to repair the fence."
"Done!" replies the government official. That, my friends, is how CORADIX makes a quarter billion dollars in 10 years working for the Trudeau Liberals.

Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about Canadians, during a recent appearance at Caesars in Windsor :
If someone in a Home Depot store
Offers you assistance and they don't work there,
You may live in Canada .
If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time,
You may live in Canada .
If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation
With someone who dialed a wrong number,
You may live in Canada .
If 'Vacation' means going anywhere
South of Kelowna for the weekend,
You may live in Canada .
If you measure distance in hours,
You may live in Canada .
If you know several people
Who have hit a deer more than once,
You may live in Canada .
If you have switched from 'heat' to 'A/C'
In the same day and back again,
You may live in Canada .
If you can drive 90 km/hr through 2 feet of snow
During a raging blizzard without flinching,
You may live in Canada .
If you install security lights on your house and garage,
But leave both unlocked,
You may live in Canada .
If you carry jumper cables in your car
And your wife knows how to use them,
You may live in Canada .
If you design your kid's Halloween costume
To fit over a snowsuit,
You may live in Canada .
If the speed limit on the highway is 80 km --
You're going 95 and everybody is passing you,
You may live in Canada .
If driving is better in the winter
Because the potholes are filled with snow,
You may live in Canada .
If you know all 4 seasons:
Almost winter, winter, still winter,
and road construction,
You may live in Canada .
If you have more miles
On your snow blower than your car,
You may live in Canada .
If you find -2 degrees 'a little chilly',
You may live in Canada .
