@MarcusDGon Thanks @MarcusDGon for fearlessly pursuing the science in whichever direction it led, even when it wasn't the initial path we set out on. Excited to see you next week!
If we lose to China in biotech, the proximal, nucleating cause, will be the failure of our regulatory apparatus to respond with a more decentralized, IRB and Investigator-driven, fast path to human proof of concept, without massive manufacturing burden. Fix it.
Remarkable that US spending on pharmaceuticals is just ~1.6% of GDP. Amazingly good value for money considering the welfare gains. (And especially given the extent to which the US subsidizes the rest of the world.)
Congratulations to @celcuity on their positive Phase 3 data. At @FaethTx we definitely agree that multi-node inhibition of the PI3K pathway is the way forward.
#NEWS We’re excited to share positive topline data from our Phase 3 VIKTORIA-1 trial evaluating our lead candidate, a multi-target PI3K/AKT/mTOR inhibitor, as a treatment option for HR+/HER2- advanced breast cancer patients.

Some got more air than others, and it took me way too long to get a picture that works but glad to be working on uterine cancer. It’s an important disease that deserves more attention.
Honestly the lack of awareness around endometrial cancer is scary. Only cancer indication that is growing in incidence and mortality. We have to do more and proud of the entire team @FaethTx for dedicating themselves to this work!
@adamfeuerstein Great win and hopefully we smash Man U. I still think Ange goes. I love him but he is displaying the same behavioral spiral as Conte and Mourinho.
For decades, we bet on chemistry—hit the target, block the pathway. But disease isn’t just chemistry. It’s biology: metabolism, immunity, networks in motion. ML is finally decoding the system. The next great medicines will come from new modalities that integrate that multi-faceted future.

Most people using ML in biotech focus on the predictable - chemistry and physics. But biology is the key to unlocking new breakthroughs for patients.
I had the opportunity to pen my thoughts in this column with @DrugDiscoverDev . Give it a read and lmk what you think.

NEW: I sat down (virtually) with biotech's Renaissance man, @DrSidMukherjee
We talked about AI, his slew of ambitious biotech startups, and how he got into writing epic, Pulitzer-winning tomes on medicine and science
