The Houthis have threatened to ban Israeli-linked ships from the Red Sea and have launched missile attacks against Israel.
Red Sea is a critical international trade route linking Europe and Asia through the Suez Canal. It is also an important route for global oil and energy shipments.

Some buyers of US liquefied petroleum gas canceled shipments that would typically be bound for Asia following a surge in freight rates sparked by the conflict in the Middle East.
At least two cargoes scheduled to load next month from export terminals on the US Gulf Coast were canceled, and some buyers are in talks to terminate more shipments, according to people familiar with the matter. They asked not to be identified because they’re not authorized to speak to the media. https://t.co/4fHfMBKvKI
7 VLCCs carrying ~14 million barrels of Venezuelan crude are now sailing toward India. 🇮🇳⛽
That’s a massive shift in global oil flows.
India is quietly diversifying energy imports — pulling barrels from Latin America as trade routes, geopolitics and supply risks reshape the market. Venezuela is rapidly climbing India’s crude supplier rankings.
Watch this closely:
• 7 supertankers
• ~14M barrels en route
• Caribbean → India energy corridor expanding
In a volatile oil market, supply flexibility = strategic power.

So now IRGC oil is legitimate and no more sanctions on Tankers & Owners loading cargo....
But what about those who have been slapped with sanctions and their two time meal was snatched by OFAC sanctions...
Any answer?????
During the 60-day period, the Strait of Hormuz would be open with no tolls and Iran would agree to clear the mines it deployed in the strait to let ships pass freely.
In exchange, the U.S. would lift its blockade on Iranian ports and issue some sanctions waivers to allow Iran to sell oil freely.
The U.S. official acknowledged that would be a boon to Iran's economy, but said it would also give significant relief to the global oil market.
🇦🇷Argentina just put 15 Vaca Muerta blocks up for bid and YPF announced a $25 billion oil export project.
Hormuz is closed and the world needs non OPEC barrels. 🛢️
The timing is not a coincidence.
🚨Vaca Muerta is positioning itself as the world's alternative to Middle East crude.
💰The bid round:
Neuquén province launched its largest Vaca Muerta auction in a decade 15 shale blocks in the core fairway, run by provincial energy company GyP.
Expected bidders:
→ YPF, Pan American Energy, Vista Energy, Pampa Energiaía, Tecpetrol
→ Chevron deepening its Loma Campana JV footprint
→ Shell at a crossroads: testing a $3–4B portfolio sale while still drilling in 2026
→ Eni, TotalEnergies, bp primarily watching gas-prone blocks tied to future LNG phases
Early feedback: "high level of interest" more than double the blocks of the last Neuquén auction.
Why now and why this matters globally?
Hormuz disrupted.
Qatar offline for years.
Importing countries repricing their entire supply stack.
Vaca Muerta's pitch has never been stronger:
→ Geologically de risked
→ Technically proven YPF, Chevron, Shell already producing at scale
→ VMOS export pipeline and terminal under development
→ Non OPEC, non Hormuz, non Russian
Argentina is not just offering barrels.
It's offering supply chain independence from every geopolitical risk currently moving energy markets. 🌍

Five Middle Eastern countries have formally rejected Iran’s establishment of the Persian Gulf Strait Authority to control transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
In a letter to a global shipping watchdog, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates said commercial and merchant vessels shouldn’t engage with the PGSA or cross the waterway using a route designated by Iran. The letter was issued earlier this week and distributed by the International Maritime Organization.

🚨 ExxonMobil and QatarEnergy just unlocked a potential 9 TCF Eastern Mediterranean gas corridor with ZERO Hormuz exposure.
After years of stranded Cyprus gas, the majors may finally have an export route.
🇨🇾 Block 10 by the numbers:
→ 2 discoveries: Glaucus + Pegasus
→ 6–9 TCF of gas
→ Commerciality declared in 2026
→ Potential first gas around 2033
The breakthrough:
🇪🇬 Egypt’s LNG terminals at Idku and Damietta could process the gas directly.
⚡ 12 mtpa of existing LNG capacity
⚡ No new liquefaction plant needed
⚡ Mediterranean exports with no Hormuz or Red Sea bottleneck
This is bigger than Cyprus.
QatarEnergy is quietly building LNG growth outside the chokepoints now threatening its core system.
The Eastern Mediterranean is becoming a new LNG corridor.
🚨 🇮🇳🇦🇪 India and the UAE just agreed on a framework that could allow ADNOC to store up to 30 million barrels of crude inside India’s strategic petroleum reserves.
The structure is important:
• 🇦🇪 UAE pays for the storage
• 🛢 ADNOC keeps ownership of the oil
• 🇮🇳 India gets priority access during emergencies
This is energy insurance.
India boosts emergency supply cover without carrying the full cost of filling the caverns, while the UAE secures long-term strategic positioning inside one of the world’s fastest-growing energy markets.
In a world of Hormuz risk and supply shocks, having Gulf crude already sitting inside India matters a lot more than most people realize.
Two so-called ghost tankers are returning their oil to #Venezuela, highlighting the struggles the country faces as it tries to grow its beleaguered oil industry after years of illicit trading.
The vessels Olina and Galaxy 3 are offloading their oil nearly five months after taking it, according to port documents and vessel movements tracked by Bloomberg.
It’s unusual for a crude tanker to return its load and their moves are in stark contrast to the US-facilitated sales carried out after former president Nicolás Maduro’s ouster.
The original destinations for the Olina and Galaxy 3 are unknown, but most likely they were going to sail to Cuba and China, two countries that kept buying Venezuelan oil despite sanctions.

🚨 The world still runs on oil
Who are the top oil consumers per day?
🇺🇸 US: 19.1M bpd
🇨🇳 China: 16.4M bpd
🇮🇳 India: 5.6M bpd
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia: 4.0M bpd
🇷🇺 Russia: 3.9M bpd
🇯🇵 Japan: 3.2M bpd
🇰🇷 South Korea: 2.9M bpd
A few things stand out:
• Asia dominates incremental demand
• The US still consumes more oil than anyone else
• Even major producers like Saudi Arabia and Russia consume massive volumes domestically
• Refining hubs like Singapore punch far above their size
The global economy is still deeply tied to hydrocarbons.
And as AI, data centers, aviation, shipping, and petrochemicals expand, demand destruction remains much harder than many expected.

Qatar’s energy minister says it doesn’t have plans to export any more LNG via Hormuz beyond the two that left this last week 🇶🇦 🚢
Via Energy Intelligence
The Strait of Hormuz remains largely shuttered, with Iran-linked vessels dominating what little traffic is moving across the waterway. An Iraqi supertanker’s rare passage has come to a halt after a retreat from the US naval blockade line.
The Iraqi oil-loaded Agios Fanourios I, which cleared the strait at the weekend, is retracing its route after halting a journey to Vietnam on Monday as it approached the US position. The tanker’s unexplained U-turn underscores the risks to third-party shipping as Washington and Tehran enforce rival restrictions across the strait.

🚨 THE WORLD RUNS THROUGH 8 STRAITS
Trade, Oil, LNG, Military power.
Key chokepoints:
• Malacca ~25% of global traded goods
• Hormuz ~25% of global oil, ~⅓ of LNG
• Singapore ~50% of global seaborne trade
• Gibraltar Atlantic ↔ Mediterranean
• Bosphorus Black Sea outlet
• Magellan Atlantic ↔ Pacific backup
• Bering Arctic gateway
• Bass Australian passage
These are pressure points.
Close Hormuz... Oil spikes.
Disrupt Malacca... Asia freezes.
Block Bosphorus... Black Sea trade halts.
Geopolitics isn’t abstract.
It’s maritime geometry.
